Next day morning..

Kendra was on her way to his cabin with a pleasant smile on her face, showing how happy she was. She stood in front of his big cabin door, and after taking a deep, long breath, she entered inside.

She walked in, and finally, their eyes locked. She smiled and stood there. Zayn, with a wide smile, stood up and slowly walked toward her. An unknown nervousness covered her after seeing him all dressed in a suit that perfectly showed his muscles. She gulped. He slowly approached her and said,

"Good morning, love," with a pleasant smile. Kendra smiled back and greeted him, "Good morning."

Zayn chuckled and walked closer to her. She stood there without moving an inch. He slowly wrapped his arm around her waist with one hand while keeping the other in his pant pocket.

"You look a little more beautiful today," he said while deeply looking into her eyes. Kendra smiled and replied, "You are incredibly handsome today."

Zayn chuckled at her words, which caused her to chuckle too.

"I can't believe that you are mine, baby," he said, slowly taking his hand out of his pocket and gently placing it on her neck, never breaking eye contact. Kendra smiled sweetly and said, "I'm yours. All yours."

Zayn smiled lightly and said, "Thank you."

Kendra deeply looked into his eyes, slowly tiptoed, and pressed her lips onto his. Zayn smiled when her lips met his. She felt his smile and deepened the kiss by grabbing his collar and pulling him closer. Zayn held her tightly and kissed her back. After a good minute, they parted and looked into each other's eyes deeply, slowly catching their breath.

"I promise to make you feel safe around me, and I promise to protect you, my love."

Kendra nodded slowly with a pleasant smile. Zayn smiled and kissed her forehead. Kendra closed her eyes and felt it.

"I love you," she said. Zayn smiled back and said, "I love you more."

Then, suddenly, someone knocked on the door. Zayn looked at the door, then back at her, and said, "Let's get back to work, hmm?" Kendra smiled and nodded.

Zayn smiled, walked to his chair, and said, "Yes, come in," reverting to his dark aura.

Levi walked in and said, "Sir, meeting!"

Zayn nodded and replied, "Get prepared. I'm on the way," in his cold voice. Levi nodded, bowed respectfully, and turned to Kendra, saying, "Ma'am?"

Kendra looked at him and said, "Yes, I'm coming." She stood up after saying this. Levi nodded respectfully and walked out. After giving Zayn a smile, she followed Levi out.

In Dexter's Office,

While Dexter was working on his file, a knock was heard at his cabin door.
"Yes..." he said, still focused on his file.

After getting permission, Dain walked inside and said, "Sir, there's news that someone's body has been found on Monterey State Beach."

Without taking his eyes off the file, Dexter asked, "So...?"

"Sir, I think that body is Fernandez's!"

Hearing this, Dexter looked up at him and asked, "What did you do to his body that day?"
