Kendra's POV

While I was talking with Dexter, I suddenly heard a loud voice calling my name. Startled, I turned back to see Zayn standing behind me, his face filled with extreme anger. Confused, I stood up. Dexter also got to his feet. The entire café was now staring at us, but Zayn didn't seem to care. His gaze remained fixed on me, his expression fierce.

"Didn't expect me here, huh?" Zayn said coldly, directing his anger toward Dexter. His voice was stern, his eyes filled with fury. Dexter remained silent.

I looked between the two of them, baffled, and asked Zayn, "Why are you here, Zayn?"

Zayn shifted his piercing gaze toward me and demanded, "What are you doing with him?" Ignoring my question entirely.

I took a deep breath and glanced at Dexter, who was now observing both of us intently.

"Stop looking at him and answer my question, Kendra!" Zayn raised his voice slightly, his frustration evident.

Trying to maintain my composure, I looked at him angrily and replied, "It's none of your business!"

End of Kendra's POV

After hearing Kendra's words, Zayn closed his eyes as if to regain control. He then grabbed her wrist firmly and said, "It is my business."

Kendra raised an eyebrow, staring at her wrist where his hand rested. She sighed and demanded, "Let go of my hand, Zayn."

But Zayn didn't release her. Instead, he tightened his grip and turned to Dexter, saying coldly, "I'll deal with you later, Dexter."

With that, he dragged Kendra out of the café. She struggled to free herself, but Zayn's hold was unyielding. Reaching his car, he opened the door and ordered sternly, "Get inside."

Kendra scoffed at his tone and replied, "Why should I listen to you? I'm leaving." She tried to walk past him, but Zayn grabbed her arm and stopped her in her tracks.

"You're testing my patience, Kendra. Now, get inside without making me repeat myself," he said through gritted teeth.

Kendra stared at him defiantly but remained silent. Zayn exhaled sharply, then, without warning, placed his hands around her waist and lifted her into the car.

Her breath hitched, her eyes widening in shock. She opened her mouth to argue, but Zayn pressed a finger to her lips and said, "Shhh. It's because of you that I'm behaving so soft like this. Remember that."

After buckling her seatbelt, he smirked, shut the car door, and walked around to the driver's side. Sliding into his seat, he started the car and drove off.

The drive was silent. Kendra, glancing at Zayn, noticed how tightly he gripped the steering wheel. She didn't dare to speak and turned to stare out the window instead. Zayn pressed harder on the accelerator, and the car sped forward, reflecting the anger simmering inside him. Kendra glanced at him as the speed increased even further.

"Zayn, slow down!" she said firmly, her voice tinged with frustration. Zayn didn't even look at her and instead increased the speed further. Kendra took a deep breath and turned to look out the window, her anger evident.

After driving for a while,

"Why are we at Lerick's house?" Kendra asked as Zayn stopped the car in front of the large property.

Zayn glanced at her briefly and said, "Get out," avoiding her question. Without waiting for a response, he stepped out of the car.

Kendra frowned, let out a deep breath, and reluctantly followed him.
