Kendra's POV

I got even angrier when he held my hand.

"Remove your hands," I said, glaring at him. He shook his head and was about to say something, but before he could, a shout echoed:

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER, YOU BASTARD!"

I turned to look and was shocked to see Dad, furious. I stood up, and so did he.

Dad stormed towards us and stood in front of me protectively, saying to him in anger, "Why are you here?"

Ethan looked at me, then shifted his gaze to Dad and replied, "I came here for shopping, and when I saw her, I just talked..."

"Talking while holding my daughter's hand?" Dad asked angrily, raising one eyebrow. I sighed and, without wasting any time, stood in front of Dad and said to Ethan, trying to prevent a scene because I knew my dad's temper:

"Ethan, get out."

Ethan looked at me and said, "I need an answer, Ken!"

I closed my eyes to control my anger and started, "My answer is..." But before I could finish, Mom and the others, including Zayn, walked over with confused expressions.

"What's happening here?" Mr. Collin asked. I forced a fake smile and said, "Nothing, Uncle. Let's go." I tried to walk past him, but Ethan grabbed my hand and pulled me closer. I stepped back, but he held my hand tighter and said, "I love you..."

I looked at him silently for a while, staring into his eyes. Words wouldn't come out of my mouth. I closed my eyes, and my gaze fell on Zayn, who was now looking at us in anger and confusion, the veins in his hands popping.

Before I could respond, Dad was about to hit Ethan, but I blocked him and said to Ethan, "Please get lost, Ethan," raising my voice slightly. Ethan stepped back and said, while looking at me, "I will get you back, baby. For sure."

I closed my eyes.

"WHO IS YOUR BABY, YOU IDIOT?" Dad shouted. I pushed Dad back to prevent a fight and looked around, realizing everyone was now staring at us. I closed my eyes again, trying to calm myself.

Zayn's POV

At first, I couldn't understand anything. But when he said, "I love you," my anger rose. He even held her hand... I looked at her in confusion because she wasn't responding or saying anything. But when she called his name, I realized who he was. I controlled myself and stayed silent.

After he left, I walked toward Kendra and said to Uncle, "Uncle, I'm taking her. You all come together."

Uncle looked at me and nodded in agreement. I nodded back, held Kendra's hand, and walked out. Without uttering a word, she followed me.

The drive was silent. I glanced at her and saw she was looking out the window, lost in thought. I sighed, parked the car on the side, and got out.

I walked a little faster along the side walkway and stopped in front of the water. She followed me and asked,

"Why are we here? Let's go home; it's about to snow."

I looked at her and asked, "Is he disturbing and troubling you like this?" with a serious expression.

She looked away and said nothing. I sighed and asked, "Tell me, Ken..." in a cold voice. She looked at me when she heard me call her Ken.

"Ken?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. I sighed and, walking closer to her, asked, "Why? Only he can call you Ken?" getting even closer.

Kendra's POV

A smile crept onto my face when he said that. He was burning with jealousy now, and I could see it in his eyes. I suppressed my smile because I needed to stay angry at him. I took a deep breath and was about to walk away because he was getting so close to me, but before I could, he grabbed my waist with his one cold hand. My heart skipped a beat when he pulled me against his hard chest. I stumbled into him, my heart racing. I widened my eyes and looked directly into his eyes. He stared into my eyes and whispered with his rough voice,
