Zayn's POV
After my mission, on my way back to one of my warehouses in London, I looked at my phone and saw several missed calls from Raden. But when I called him back, he didn't pick up.
"It's already 7:30am in the morning, so it must be around 11:30pm in California. He may have slept..." I thought, leaning back in my seat to rest.
But suddenly, I got a call from Levi.
On the call:
"Yes, tell me..." I said while still resting my head on the seat.
"Sir, on my way back home after work, I saw Ms. Kendra walking into Fountain Open Restaurant with one of her friends."
When he said that, I opened my eyes and asked him, "What's the time there now?"
"It's 11:45 pm, sir!" he replied. I sighed and said, "You can go. Let me call her..."
"Okay, sir," he said and hung up.
"Should I call her?" I asked myself, feeling confused. But at the same time, I was worried about her too... I don't know why, but I was concerned. I took a deep breath and called her multiple times, but she didn't answer and even declined the calls.
"Is she angry at me because of yesterday?" I asked myself while looking at the phone screen.
After about 15 minutes, I called her one last time...
Kendra's POV
"Try your best to come, Kendra. After telling them about you, they were so excited to meet you!" Dexter said with a smile. I chuckled and asked, "What did you say to them that made them so excited to meet me?"
He chuckled and was about to say something, but before that, Zayn called me again. I sighed and was about to decline the call again, but before I could, Luna said,
"Just pick up the call, Ken."
"You guys carry on. I'll leave now... Don't forget about tomorrow, Kendra!" Dexter reminded with a smile. I smiled back and nodded.
After when he left, I looked at Luna, sighed, and answered the call.
End of Kendra's POV
On the call:
"For what reason are you calling me like this, huh? Don't you have manners?" she asked in an irritated tone as soon as she picked up the call. On the other side of the phone, Zayn was startled by her sudden outburst.
"And don't you have manners to answer the call?" he fired back. She scoffed and said, "You're getting on my nerves now."
"You're also getting on my nerves with your cold ass attitude..." he replied in an irritated tone. She chuckled sarcastically and said in disbelief:
"Cold ass attitude?" She scoffed again and continued, "Oh my gosh... You cold-hearted man, do you know how irritating you're being? I don't know how anyone could love you in the future. I'm sure you're not going to get a wife!"
After hearing that, he laughed out loud and said, "You know what? So many girls are begging me to marry them. I'm the most handsome man in the world!" he said proudly.
"Handsome?" she asked, then burst into laughter, which made him angry. While laughing, she continued, "You know what? You're not that handsome... You look more like a monkey."
Zayn's eyes widened.
"MONKEY?" he shouted. Kendra closed her eyes because of his sudden shout and said, "Yes, you monkey!"
