Lerick's POV
I was on my way to Collin Global. After yesterday, he hadn't returned home. When I called Levi, he told me that Zayn had slept at the office.
I reached the building and took the elevator to the top floor, where his private apartment was. I rang the doorbell and waited. After a moment, he opened the door.
"What are you doing here?" he asked. I sighed and walked in without answering. He glared at me and shut the door.
I sat on the sofa and asked, "Why didn't you go home yesterday?"
With a sigh, he sat down and replied, "I wasn't in the mood."
I scoffed at his response. "Aunty called me, asking where you were. Why didn't you inform her that you'd be staying here?"
He gave me a stern look as he got up from the couch. "It's not the first time I've stayed here without telling my mom," he said, heading toward his room. I sighed as he disappeared from sight, then went to the kitchen to make breakfast.
Over breakfast, I asked, "How's Kendra? Is she okay?"
He looked at me and said, "Yeah, she's fine, just a small headache. I told her to rest for two days." I nodded and took another bite of my food, thinking he didn't seem in a good mood today.
Kendra's POV
I was on my way to Zayn's cabin, but...
"Hello, Ms.," a voice called from behind. I smirked, recognizing it immediately. Turning around, I saw Olivia.
"Yes, Ms. Olivia. It's been a while since you came to me for a cheap fight," I said with a smirk while walking towards her., and continued, "Oh, wait—are you scared of me now? Because of that slap?"
She scoffed and shot back, "And you think I'd be afraid of a poor orphan like you?"
I chuckled mockingly, and her face hardened in anger. Just as she was about to say something, Rayan approached us.
"Why are you always after her, Ms. Olivia?" he asked.
She scoffed, "How dare you ask me that, Rayan? Just remember, you're working under me."
Rayan laughed at her and stepped in front of me protectively. "You may be above me at the office, Olivia, but in life, you're a big zero. Kendra is far better than you."
Olivia clenched her fists and looked like she was about to hit him. I quickly stepped in front of Rayan and said in a cold, steady voice, "I dare you."
She scoffed at me and sneered, "I knew you two had something going on. Anyway, good luck." With a cheap smile, she turned and walked away.
"That witch..." I muttered under my breath.
"Of course, she's a witch," Rayan said chuckling. Crossing my arms, I looked at him and said, "It's been a while since we talked. Where have you been?"
He scoffed. "You're the one who's always busy, and now Sir has even moved your seat to his cabin. How can I talk to you?"
I laughed, and he joined in.
"Anyway, are you okay?" he asked, nodding toward my head. I smiled, nodding back. "It's been more than a week; I'm all good."
He returned my smile. As we were chatting, a cold, stern voice interrupted us.
"What are you doing here?" I looked over to see Zayn standing there, his hands in his pockets and his expression icy.
"Good morning," I greeted him with a smile.
