Now, everyone was enjoying the party, but Zayn still hadn't returned from his room.
"Raden, why isn't he back yet? We need to cut the cake!" Celine said to Raden. He glanced upstairs and replied, "Wait, I'll call him."
But as he was about to go, Celine stopped him. "You stay here. I'll send Kendra to his room. I think Zayn has some feelings for her. I saw what happened a moment ago."
Raden nodded with a smile and said, "Me too! I know what you're thinking. Go ahead." Celine smiled at him and, with a smirk, walked toward Kendra, who was talking to someone.
"Excuse me, Kendra," Celine said with a smile. Kendra shifted her gaze and asked, "Yes, Celine?"
Smiling, Celine replied, "Kendra, it's time to cut the cake. Could you call Zayn and bring him down from his room?" Kendra looked up at his room while swallowing nervously, then answered with a hesitant smile, "Yes, I'll go." She headed upstairs as Celine smirked and exchanged a knowing glance with Raden, who smiled back at his wife. She winked, and Raden chuckled.
Kendra's POV
"Shit! What do I do now?" I asked myself, standing in front of his door. I took a deep breath and knocked. There was no response. After knocking for a while, I sighed, opened the door, and stepped inside. Only a dim light was on. I closed the door and walked further in, searching the room for him. Just then, I heard the sound of the shower from the bathroom area. I sighed and was about to leave, but suddenly, I noticed a large photo of him sitting like a king, dressed in all black. At the corner of the picture, the letters ZC were written with a crown above the letters. I frowned and was about to touch it when—
"Don't touch my stuff," a rough voice came from behind me. Startled, I turned around to see him standing there, wearing sweat pants and a bathrobe, with the robe open, revealing his perfectly toned abs.
I couldn't help but stare shamelessly at his abs. My gaze drifted lower to the side of his torso, where the same ZC with a crown was tattooed just below his chest, and something else was written underneath it. I frowned and reached out to touch it when—
"Enjoying the view?" he asked with a smirk, stepping closer to me. Embarrassed, I pulled my hand back and was about to apologize when he grabbed my wrist and pinned me to the wall, making my breath hitch. I closed my eyes from the sudden action, his breath warm against my face.
"Open your eyes," he said in a deep yet soft voice. Taking a deep breath, I opened my eyes and found him staring straight into mine. My heart skipped a beat after seeing him this close. I tried to free myself, but his grip tightened, and he pulled me closer, his other hand wrapping around my waist.
"Let me go," I said, though the words barely came out. I didn't know why I felt so weak in his presence. He chuckled, his eyes never leaving mine.
"You look so beautiful today. In this dim light, you're glowing like an angel" I looked at him, speechless. He smiled.
Zayn's POV
I gazed at her with pure affection. Her eyes, her nose, her lips, her jaw—everything about her was perfect. In the dim light, she glowed softly, like the first flicker of dawn, delicate but undeniable. I couldn't take my eyes off her. The girl who usually kept a straight face was now looking at me, completely disarmed. I chuckled lightly, but then my attention shifted to her lips. I couldn't control myself—I could hear her heartbeat. I leaned in, about to kiss her, but stopped just before our lips met. She stood there with her eyes closed, waiting.
I smiled and admired her for a moment. She was like an angel. It was the first time I'd admired someone like this. She had my full attention, and I didn't care how she looked—I just wanted her as she was. I smiled while seeing her waiting for my lips to meet hers...
