Once the little shoot was over. Hehe, see what I did there? Because I was shooting for miniature...

You know what, nevermind.

Emmy and I got back to my photostudio. When we got inside, it felt so quiet. Well, it was a big place and there were only four or five people here, so that was not that unusual since anyone could be anywhere in the studio.

"Hey, we're back," I said loudly. "Where are you guys?"

"Dining room," Jo responded from there.

We went there and saw them sitting around the table with Roy writing something down in his notebook while talking with my colleagues.

"Hey, what's going on here?" I asked and took a seat with them.

"Just writing down my research," Roy answered.

"So you got what you need?"

"Yup, can't wait to publish it in my blog."

"So how was your day?" Linus asked us.

"Great," Emmy said. "We've done a lot in one day, considering they are, you know, miniature. Well, I have the best photographer for the job anyway."

"Oh, I'm not that good," I scoffed, acting all humble about my skill.

"A miniature?" Roy stopped writing like he seemed intrigued. "Like one of those doll-house-size cafes and shops?"

"Yup," Emmy confirmed.

"She has a shop," I added.

"Awesome, can I check it out someday?" Roy questioned.

"Sure," Emmy replied. "By the way, Pepsi has news to tell?"

I was caught off guard and glared at my lovely friend, who had to make me announce what I had to tell her. "Seriously..." I grunted.

"I did this because I love you," she whispered.

"Well, right now I hate you."

Anyway, everyone was staring at us, waiting for any of us to say something. "News? What news?" Jo asked.

Emmy giggled mischievously. "Lovely, tell them."

So, I turned to them and took a deep breath. "My mom is going to Europe. Yay!"

My colleagues and Roy exchanged looks towards one another, then at me. "That's it?" Linus responded.

My lovely friend smacked my elbow to spill the beans. "Ugh... fine," I snarled at her, then turned to them again. "I got an offer to teach in England."

Everyone's mouth dropped to the floor. "No way!" Mav reacted. "That's great."

"When will you start teaching?"

"Uhm... I..." I stammered.

"She hadn't decided yet," Emmy intervened once again. Until now, I hated that she had to do that.

I remember Roy darted his head to me afterward. "You should take it," he told me.

I got speechless at first, then pretended to clear my throat. "Ahem... I'm... still thinking about it."

"What's there to think about?" Linus asked me like it was a no-brainer. "Take it."

"I so agree." Emmy crossed her arms and stared me down.

"It's not that simple. Can't I decide without you bugging me that I should...?" I snapped at her. A second later, I regretted it when everyone got silent, and I could feel my face heat up. "Sorry... I didn't mean to... I have to go."
