It was morning, and I had to stop by at Emmy's studio office to have a meeting about her upcoming campaign shoot for a magazine. It wouldn't take long since I had plans with my brother afterward.
Yet I had to start my day with a wardrobe crisis because I couldn't close the buttons on one of my favorite pairs of checkered pants, which didn't fit me anymore.
It sucks.
"I guess it's time to buy new pants," I sighed as I tossed the pair I had wanted to wear that day, and had to settle for anything that had no zippers, like a comfy pair of jogger pants.
I even had to think back and admit to it that I had let go of myself, especially after grieving over Topher. Maybe it was time to live a healthier lifestyle.
However, I love food too much to start anytime.
After dealing with my wardrobe and body dilemma, I got out of my room and walked down the hall to get to the stairs. To my surprise, Roy was there heading to his room.
I usually saw him as soon as I arrived at the dining area, and he was all sweaty and wearing his workout clothes. That time, it was different because he finished early.
I noticed Roy was staring at his phone and looked somewhat... distressed. He barely noticed me, which bothers me, though. "Hey," I called out to him.
He looked up to me. "Oh, hey, I thought I was gonna see you later in the dining room."
From his tone, it was obvious that he had a problem. "Is... something wrong?"
"Uhm... Not really, I just... I'm not going to the studio today," Roy said.
I was taken aback, but upon seeing his face, I didn't feel like budging, as it wasn't my business for him to tell me what was going on. I was hoping that he could trust me enough to tell me what was bothering him. "Oh, okay."
"I'll see you around."
"You, too."
After that, I watched him walk past me, then went inside his room.
I felt dejected. I was hoping he was comfortable enough to talk to me about his problems.
Later, since Roy was not coming with me, I had to go straight to Emmy's studio office. The entire glam team was present, including the makeup artist, hairstylist, and set stylist.
She even had her two interns there, which was good because it was a big project anyway. Her two interns were also present.
The meeting was about an hour long. Emmy had an idea of her concept and discussed the clothes she requested to pull out from upcoming designers.
It was graduation month for fashion students in our college, so we, successful alumni, would put our heads together to make them known in the industry.
That was also one of my favorite things to do every year to help new designers, stylists, and photographers, and it was fun to share some ideas and hear different opinions about them.
Good thing I was present-minded the whole time we were having the meeting, because I was so worried about Roy. I kept wondering what was bothering him that he just wanted to stay at the inn.
Once the meeting was over, everyone left, while I stayed back a bit since I had an extra hour before leaving to see my brother again.
"Well, that ended quickly," Emmy said as she cleared out her things from the meeting table. "I'm so excited for the day of the shoot."
"Yeah, me too," I replied.
"So where are you going to take your brother today?"
"St. Anne's church and take them to the Ole Town."
