My brother and I got to the dining area while everybody was already there, setting up the table. Except for Fallon, because she was still with Ada in the living room for her nap time.

I saw Roy and Jake talking like they were long-time buddies right in front of me. Not that I wanted them to kill each other, but I'm too petty to prefer for them to be strangers towards one another.

"Oh, hey, guys." Roy walked up to us, then turned to my brother. "Hey, you feeling alright?"

"Yeah. Yeah... I'm fine," Alden assured. "Sorry for having to meet that way. This place just creeps me out, and I didn't think there was anyone on the third floor."

Whew, that was smooth. My brother is not a lawyer for nothing.

"Oh, it's cool."

"Roy, right? I'm Alden," my brother introduced.

They shook hands. "Nice to meet you," Roy said.

"You, too." Alden seemed to have studied his face for a second. "Wow, you do look like... Jeremy Sumpter."

"I've been told."

After that, my brother walked to a cabinet, as that was where we kept the refreshments and glasses. He poured himself a glass of Coca-Cola, but then he opened the cabinet, finding something.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Just searching for uhm..." Apparently, he took out a crucifix, then put it on top of the cabinet. "You know what, I like it here."

Shook my head and rolled my eyes at that. "Okay."

I mean, geez... What a wuss.

Eventually, we all sat down together to eat our food. "So you guys eat lunch here all the time?" Jake asked while munching on fried chicken in the fanciest dining area.

"Yup," Linus answered.

"It feels like having Christmas dinner every afternoon."

"It does, and it's fun," Emmy said.

"I beg to differ," my brother mumbled, yet he wanted me to hear it since we were sitting next to each other.

"Wow, you guys have it good here," Jake remarked.

"Ahem... so, Roy, how do you like Barcon?" Alden asked him.

"I love it," Roy answered. "It's such a perfect getaway from any big cities out there, and I live in Bali."

"You live in Bali? Now that's a dream. So you have a beachfront house?"

"I wish, but no. My uncle has this villa near a farm. I inherited it after he passed away because he didn't have children. So, it's a farmfront house."

"Still, I'll take it if it means living in Bali," Jake said.

I just nodded, agreeing with him. Maybe it would be nice to stay somewhere sunny next time I need a vacation, to just unwind and stuff. You know, once I can afford it.

Anyway, the whole afternoon went well. So, after we all had our lunch,  it was Fallon's turn to eat, and Alden to keep an eye on Ada while she was still taking a nap.

Once she was done, the guests and I were about to leave to continue on our tour around Barcon.

Unfortunately, we didn't leave fast enough because my brother needed to use the bathroom again. When Fallon picked my niece up, she woke up and saw her favorite person's doppelgänger since we were all in the living room.

"Uncle Toffy?" Ada uttered softly as she slowly opened her eyes and sat up.

We all had our heads turned towards her. So was Roy, yet he didn't know that it was him she was referring to. However, Ada did squirm as she reached out to him, even though Fallon tried to stop her.
