The next morning, I woke up earlier than I should have again. However, I didn't feel like getting up. Also, I still didn't feel like going to work. I just wanted to stay in bed all day. I wasn't actually sure why. It was not because I was still mad at my friends, but at the same time, I was not over it either.

I guess I just wanted some time for myself, you know.

I felt tired. Mentally tired, to be exact.

I was conflicted whether or not I should go to work.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and I immediately sat up on my bed. I was hoping whoever that was would just go away. Although that was not going to happen, I had no choice but to get up and open it.

I thought it was Roy. To my surprise, it was Emmy with an awkward smile, with a dash of guilt in her face. "Hey, lovely," she greeted, and she sounded careful.

"Emmy? You're here..."

"Yeah, can we... Talk? Please. Pretty please with a cherry on top."

I couldn't say no when she looked at me with that sorry look in her eyes. "Sure," I said reluctantly. "Come in."

Once Emmy got inside, and took a good look around where I was staying. "This place is nice."

"I know, right?"

"We missed you yesterday in the studio."

"Same, but I'm not feeling like going today, but since you're here, can you drive Roy there?" I asked.

"Okay, I'm sorry," Emmy apologized finally. "I shouldn't have purposefully blabbed your news like that to everyone, and we... I forced you to take the job. The moment you ran off, it hit me how wrong I was to do that."

I sighed heavily after that sincere apology. "I wanna say it's fine, but it's not..."

"I know, and I am so very sorry..."

"I believe you. So, don't worry, I already forgive you."

"You do?" Emmy asked.

I nodded. "Yup, I lost Topher. I don't want to lose you, too, and all of my friends."

I remember how in awe and relieved Emmy was that I forgave her, that I could see a tear run down her cheek, then she hugged me. "Aww... Lovely, we're all here for you."

So, I hugged her back, and my eyes were starting to well up. "I'm also sorry for yelling at you."

"Hey, it's okay. I get it. I can be very pushy at times with stuff."

"Maybe a little, but I guess I can be very stubborn."

"Either way, I was still wrong."

"Let's just forget about it, okay?" I suggested as I wiped my tears.

"Sure," Emmy replied. "So, are you... okay? How are you?"

"Yeah... actually, not really." I went to bed and sat down by the side.

"Why? What's the problem?" she asked and sat beside me. "Is it Toph... I mean, Roy?"

"Not him. Maybe a little. He's kinda part of the problem."

"What do you mean?"

"My brother and his wife and kid are coming to Barcon next week."

Yes, that's right, my dear older brother wanted to visit me. He emailed me the previous night. And by visit, it obviously means that he was gonna check on me to make sure I was okay. It was sweet, yes, and that I did miss him and his family, especially his daughter, but there was this one teeny tiny problem about the 'visit'.
