"you have a date with y/n today?" namjoon asked, swivelling his chair to look at his boyfriend, who awkwardly stood at his door. "you've wanted to bond with her, so i'm failing to see why you look so... not excited."
"i'm fucking nervous, joon," hoseok said, fully entering the room and closing the door behind him. "you know i've never been with women romantically. i mean—before y/n, i thought i was gay!"
namjoon couldn't help laughing as his boyfriend ran his fingers through his cherry-red hair before tugging at the ends in frustration.
"you're overthinking it, hope," he said, folding his arms as he leant into the chair. "you've been hugging the woman and spending time with her just fine."
"i know," he huffed, plopping on the bed. "that's what's pissing me off. i've interacted with y/n multiple times before! fuck—we've cuddled to the point where i wanted to do more."
"it's just the nerves biting your ass," namjoon told him, eyes moving to a photo of the seven of them on his wall. "do you know what she has planned?"
"thankfully, yes, but that woman could have me doing the most mundane things, and i'd still be happy. with y/n, everything feels effortless and calm, like the world slows down around us. losing track of time with her isn't just easy—it feels natural... like there's nowhere else i'd rather be. just like how it feels being with you and the others."
"you know..." namjoon exhaled, running a hand through his silver hair. "the day she came back, i realised how fucked we were. it hasn't been that long, but she has all of us wrapped around her finger. she's not even trying, and she's got all of us orbiting her like she's the damn sun. i don't think she knows how much power she has over us—how much she's changed everything. jimin and jungkook look at her the same way they look at us. yoongi and jin look at her like they'll do anything for her."
namjoon paused to look at his first boyfriend with a knowing look. it was just him and hoseok before it was them and the other five men in this house. "and then there's you," he continued. "you look at her the same way you looked at me when we first started falling for each other. and the truth is... i think i look at her the same way. i'm still trying to wrap my head around it—trying to accept that this is more than just a crush. that it's more than simple attraction."
"do you think we're going too fast?" hoseok asked, watching his boyfriend zone in on their photo at the back of his bedroom door.
"yes and no," he answered. his gaze lingered on the photo for a moment before he turned back to hoseok, his expression conflicted. "yes, because it feels like we're diving headfirst into something we barely understand. something that hasn't been long. it's overwhelming, and if we're not careful, it could all fall apart."
he sighed, throwing his head back as a faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "but no, because it feels... right. like we're not forcing it. she fits into our lives in a way i didn't think anyone ever could."
hoseok leaned back against the edge of the bed, his arms crossed as he processed his boyfriend's words. "she does fit," he admitted quietly.
"you know... i think y/n is as deep in this as we are. maybe she hasn't figured it out yet, but the way she looks at us? it's not just casual."

hoseok stepped into the studio, trailing behind you as soft conversations filled the air. the room buzzed with energy—dancers chatting nervously and excitedly about the new choreography they were about to learn.
this wasn't an unfamiliar scene for him. as a part-time dance instructor, he was used to the lively atmosphere of a studio. but what he wasn't used to was being on the other side of it. today, instead of leading, he'd be one of the students. for your date today, he was stepping into a role he hadn't played in a long time.
