"you know... you've just become that girl, y/n," navi said, causing you to raise a brow as you put on mascara. "you broke up with your boyfriend, became a model and picked up seven boyfriends in less than a year."
"the guys aren't my boyfriends," you chuckled, glancing at your reflection in the mirror. you didn't wear makeup often, but you wanted to feel extra pretty today. "anyway, what do you think?" you asked your best friend, picking up your phone and flipping the camera to show her the look—a simple white corset top and denim shorts. this wasn't something you'd usually go for, but you wanted to venture out of your usual style and feel cute.
"you look so pretty," she smiled. "you really are that girl, babe. and your soon-to-be-boyfriends will love your look. what's the occasion?"
"i have a date with namjoon today. we'll ride bikes through nokji haven, then sit down for a picnic or something. he hasn't told me the full plan," you told her. when namjoon asked you out last week, you didn't know what to expect, but knowing him, this being his idea of a date... made sense.
it had been a while since your last date, which was with hoseok. your relationship with him wasn't the only one that grew — you got closer with the rest, too.
jimin and yoongi had no shame stealing kisses from you while you completed daily tasks. taehyung's hands would linger around your waist a little longer after each hug. namjoon often invited you to his room to talk while wrapped in each other's arms. the awkwardness between you and seokjin was almost non-existent, and cooking with him became your favourite activity. jungkook loved to hug you from behind when you were cooking or doing the dishes. you started dancing in the living room with hoseok for the other guys after friday dinners, and it was something everyone loved.
"a bike ride and picnic?" she teased, "these are the dates i only see and hear about in books and movies. that man is trying to make you fall in love with him."
you rolled your eyes as you flipped the camera back before setting your phone down to fix your hair. "i think that's the point, though."
"the date hasn't even begun, and i think it's already working. i don't have to see your face to know you're blushing and fighting a smile," navi smirked, and you hated that she was right. you couldn't fight the giddy feeling or blush growing on your cheeks.
"i gotta go soon," you told her, dabbing some gloss onto your lips.
"have fun. namjoon seems to be a romantic man based on the thoughts he shares during our lectures. it's a cute little picnic right now, but next thing you know, he's writing poetry about you and calling you his muse."
"namjoon is poetic, but let's not get ahead of ourselves," you laughed.
"uh-huh. don't forget to text me the second that man does something romantic. actually, text me everything. you know i need details."
"you're too nosy," you teased, picking up your phone. "but you don't have to remind me. you know i'd tell you."

"you look nice," taehyung commented, looking up from his laptop as you entered the living room. "ready for your date with joon?"
"mhm," you nodded, making your way to sit next to him. "just waiting for him to fetch me. what are you busy with?"
"i'm working on a presentation for work," he groaned as he rested his head on your shoulder.
"you sound miserable," you teased, tilting your head slightly to look at him.
"i am miserable," taehyung sighed, rubbing his temple. "this presentation is sucking the life out of me. i became a vet to help animals, not to make slides about clinic efficiency."
