~January 2033~
Hyunjin's phone vibrated on his desk.
He checked the time. 5:00 pm.
He unlocked his phone and read the message from JoJo.
["So i found the decorations i was looking for on FB marketplace, but the guy who's selling them has a couple other people already asking for them. So i sent him an e-transfer so he'd hold them for me. Anyway, he sent me his address. I'm just going to pop over there now."] - JJ
Hyunjin was already in a bad mood since he had been up for most of the night with Teddy. Teddy had been coughing and congested all night, and being that Hyunjin was more of a night person, he was always on duty during the night while JoJo was on duty all day.
On top of that, they had been busy with planning this surprise party for Chan and Amelia's 10 year anniversary.
They were trying to do it in a more affordable way, so JoJo had been keeping her eyes open for used things they'd need on FB instead of buying new stuff.
They were supposed to go down on the weekend and set up this whole thing while Byron distracted them somehow.
And on top of that, JoJo was supposed to be going back to work next month, which was coming up very quickly.
Hyunjin sighed as he read JoJo's message again.
["It's getting dark. Wait till I get home. We'll go together."] - HJ
["That'll be at least another hour. I told him I'd be there soon."] - JJ
["You sent him the money. Tell him you'll be there in an hour and a half."] - HJ
["The guy probably has a life. I don't want to change the plan."]
["Josephine."] - HJ
["HYUNJIN."] - JJ
["You don't know this guy. You don't know if it's safe. You're going to his HOUSE. You're pretty. You're small. You'll have two kids in the back seat, and it's dark out."] - HJ
["Yes. That's right."] - JJ
["No."] - HJ
JoJo didn't respond for a few minutes, and Hyunjin started to get worried.
Finally, she texted back.
["I'm going to leave now."] - JJ
["Like hell you are."] - HJ
