2:34 AM

"I don't know. It sounds like we'll be here for a week at least." Hyunjin sighed with exhaustion.

"Okay. Well, Joe (JoJo's dad) said he'll come in the morning before I leave for work to pick up Juno." Chan hummed.

"Okay." Hyunjin mumbled back mindlessly.

"How's JoJo?"

"She finally fell asleep. She's been panicking all day."

"And the baby?"

"He's more stable. I'm watching him now." Hyunjin said as he started crying. "I hate watching him through this stupid window." He said as he banged his head on the glass.

"I can only imagine." Chan said sadly as he stroked Juno's hair.

"How's Juno?" Hyunjin asked.

"He finally fell asleep too. He cried for JoJo from bedtime at 8:00 until 10:00. Then he cried for you from about 10:00 until 12:00 am. Then I brought him out to the living room and sat with him, and after about an hour he fell asleep on me. I'm pretty sure I'll be sleeping on this chair with him tonight." Chan said.

Hyunjin let out a long sigh.
"I'm sorry." He said.

"Don't be sorry. It's fine. He's just worried. Actually, he finally seemed like a 7 year old." Chan assured.

"Call me in the morning so I can talk to him before Joe picks him up, okay?"

"Okay." Chan hummed sleepily. "Jin?"

"Yeah?"

"Were you able to get early paternity leave?"

"Yeah. I talked to my boss today."

"You don't sound relieved."

"I'm relieved about that. But everything else is going to be so hard. And I can only take a month off." Hyunjin said. "What if Joey isn't better by then? What am I going to do?"

"Maybe her mom could stay with you guys."

"Where? There's not even an extra bed."

"Well, there's always. . . Nevermind." Chan whispered.

"What?"

"No. You wouldn't like it." Chan sighed.

"Just say it anyway."

"Well, maybe if she's still not well once your leave is over, Jo and the baby could stay at her parent's house for a while. That way someone will always be there with her." Chan said.

Somehow he could hear Hyunjin's heart sink. "Yeah. I thought about that too." He whispered.

"Well, don't worry about it for now. I'm sure Jo will be fine." Chan reassured.

Hyunjin went silent for a while.

"Dad?" He whispered.

"Yeah?" Chan whispered back.

"He's so tiny. Unbelievably tiny." Hyunjin sniffled.

Chan didn't even know what to say. "He'll be okay. The doctors know what they're doing."

"I hope you're right." Hyunjin sniffled.

Chan tried to distract him, sounding happy. "So, have you guys settled on any names?"

Hyunjin hummed. "I think so."

"Oh?"

"I think it's gonna be Teddie. It means: God's Gift." Hyunjin said.
