"Are you KIDDING ME?!" Juno stomped angrily as Hyunjin put his breakfast on the table.
Hyunjin narrowed his eyes, picked Juno up, plopped him down on the chair, then pulled out the other chair and sat down.
He pulled Juno's chair right up to his so that Juno was sitting nervously in front of him.
"Here's your options: 1- You can be sassy and rude, and we'll go straight to your bedroom, and you'll get a spanking.
Or; 2- You can be respectful, and we can sit down here and have a conversation.
What's your choice?" Hyunjin asked with a threatening glare.Juno bit his lip nervously... He didn't like looking in his dad's eyes when he was angry.
"Decide." Hyunjin said sternly.
Juno looked around everywhere but his dad's face. Finally, he mumbled "Option 2"
"Smart choice." Hyunjin grumbled with a frown. "Afe you unhappy with the plan for today then?" He asked.
Juno nodded.
"Then tell me RESPECTFULLY why it is that you're upset."
Juno sniffled as he started crying, and his lip quivered. "Cuz- cuz I don't wanna go to school while you go to get Mommy and Teddie." He pouted.
Hyunjin sighed. "Juno, you won't have fun coming with me. We're going to a bunch of doctors appointments, and then we're coming back here. And mommy will be here from now on, so you'll see her every day."
"Well, I LIKE doctor appointments!" Juno argued, unsure of what he was even saying.
Hyunjin sighed.
"School sucks!"
"You're right. Sometimes, it does suck. And I'm sorry, but you have to go anyway." Hyunjin said sympathetically.
"But you're taking the day off! Why can't I?!" Juno whined.
"It's different."
Juno slumped back in his chair. "I can't believe you!" He pouted.
"When Uncle Seungmin picks you up from school, you better be perfectly behaved." Hyunjin warned as he stood back up, going to get his own breakfast.
Juno threw his head down onto the table and cried.
"Juno~" Hyunjin said in a sing-song voice. "Remember what the positive part about today will be."
"WHAT?! That mommy comes back?" Juno cried miserably.
"Yes."
"Well, it would STILL be positive if you let me come!" Juno argued.
"That's enough!" Hyunjin said. "You said you were choosing option 2, but your attitude is giving option 1." He said as he sat back down with his bowl of cereal.
"BUT-" Juno started, stomping his foot.
"Sit quietly and think about how you're acting while you eat your breakfast, and then we'll see if you need to take a trip over my knee before school." Hyunjin said.
Juno folded his hands politely, realizing that his dad was giving him a final warning.
He ate his breakfast sadly and waited for his dad to finish eating.
When he was done, Juno piped up. "Daddy?"
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry."
"For?"
"Back-talking." Juno pouted.
"And?"
"Umm..." Juno hummed as he thought.
