End of the road

C:7 Josh's POV

Everyone had called there parents and family. My parents and brother and sister were still in poland and had managed to get to a safe camp. Beth and jade's parents were safe but had no way of coming back for beth and Jade. Kate's parents... she heard the crash on the phone (we later found out they were dead) and ethen's parents werent picking up so we assumed the worst. The whole group agreed on sticking together as well as finding Kate little sister, Abigail.

"she has to be at nans" Kate said, as she pulled on her jacket.  We had been debating where would be best to start looking for Abigail for about an hour now, but with no luck. 

"ive already told you" i said, standing up " we will go there as soon as we get supplies" 

" who made you leader?" she retorted, heading towards the main exit. The plan was for her to run out the main exit and create a diverson, so the rest of us could sneak out and find a car. she would catch us up.

"are you ready?" i asked everyone, everyone nodded. i counted to three on my fingers

"go!" i screamed, as Kate flung open the doors and ran into the hord of monsters. i pushed everyone out of the fire exit and ran towards the nearest car. It was just parked in the middle of the road, like someone had abandoned it. It was a pickup truck, and the keys were still in the ignition. Jade jumped into the drivers side, beth into the passengers and Ethen into the very cramped back seat, i climbed into the open bit at the back. looking for Kate. Then i spotted her, running towards us, with a pack of them on her tail. She signaled at me to go.

"DRIVE JADE!"I screamed, she put her foot on the pedal , as Kate jumped for my hand which was outstreached to her. i pulled her in and high fived her as we spead away. 

"that" i said, turning to her " was bloody awsome" she laughed and shook her head at me. 

About ten minuets later, Jade started to slow down. I looked up from the map i was studying to see that we were at the retail park. it was deserted. 

"supplies?" i asked everyone. they all nodded. getting ready to run for the nearest cover. 

"where to first?" Jade asked , i looked around at everyone, most of them were shaking from the sudden drop in temprature. they werent dressed for this. 

"next?" i suggested, Beth screamed in excitement, Jade rolled her eyes.
