"don't forget the brakes!" Jade shouted as I went speeding into a wall.  She had been giving me lessons on how to ride the bikes we had fixed up,  but obviously it wasn't going to well.

"you OK? " she asked,  walking over to me, trying to hide her laugh.  I picked myself up,  kicking the bike.

" hey hey!  What did the bike ever do to you! " she screamed,  pushing me away and hugging the bike.

" crashed me into a blinking wall! " I shouted,  crossing my arms.

" That's coz your a shit driver! " she muttered.  Getting up,  walking over to me and smiling. She ruffled my hair

"love ya really"  she added

"anyway,  Morgan said at breakfast that he wants to see me before lunch. I gotta go.  See you in a bit. "

" OK,  but get changed before you go,  you look a state.  " I rolled my eyes at her.

" yes mum" I said sticking my tongue out, before running off towards our house.

I arrived at Morgans office about ten minutes later,  with a clean shirt and pair of jeans on.  After everything,  it felt weird to be walking into someone's office like everything was normal.  I wiped my feet on the welcome matt as I walked in.

"Morgan? " I called,  walking further into the office.

" just a sec,  take a seat. " he called back from another room.  I went ahead and sat on the seat in front of his desk.  Maybe he was gonna give me my gun back,  I thought,  I hoped.  Don't get me wrong I loved working on the bikes with jade,  but I missed going on runs.

" so,  kate" Morgan said,  sitting down at his desk in front of me.  "I guess your wondering why I called you here. "  I nodded.

"well,  actually,  it's sort of your sisters idea. " he said

" abigail? " I asked,  confused.  She hadn't really talked to me since we arrived.

" yeah.  When beth and your sister found us,  at the very beginning.  They told us about how your father worked in a lab,  about how you said at the beginning that he had started this.  We thought abigail might know the cure... "

" she doesn't,  " I said" she never took an interest in my dad or his work"

"i know,  but you did didn't you? " he said,  a glint of madness in his eyes.

" yeaaaaaah.... " I said,  scooching my chair a little further away from the desk.

" so...  So you might know the cure. " he said,  standing up and walking over to me. The door opened and two men walked in and stood either side of me.

" I dont" I said,  looking at the ground, "I wish I did but..."

"lier,  " he muttered,  interrupting me. He lunged towards me as something hit me over the head.

And everything went black

So much for peaceful.
