End of the road

 Since josh and beth died.  And a lot had happened. jade had taken the role of leader very seriously,  making sure that everyone was safe, and had become more like a mum to fin and abigail. In those first couple months,  Austin and Luke had dedicated all there time to workng out exactly where we were.  Lily spent a lot of time on supply runs with fin.  abigail stayed behind with jade ,  both her and jade stayed well out of my way for about 6 months until something happened.

Luke Austin Lily and fin were going on a supply run,  and had convinced abigail to go with them.  So it was just me and jade at Camp. I had had enough. 

"for God sake! " I shouted throwing a rock at her head from across the camp fire. " will you bloody talk to me already?! "she looked up at me,  rather shocked,  I didn't normally loose my temper with jade.

" what have I done for you to ignore me OK! " I carried on getting up and pacing back and forth.

" kate just leave it. " she said,  going back to studying the map on her knee.

" no!  Your meant to be my family!  Your my capitan.  It's been months. What's wrong? " I was getting frustrated with her,  she couldn't see how much this was bugging me.

" thats exactly it!  While we were at East wood" I winced at the name,  memories flooding back " beth told me you followed me round like a puppy.  Like I'm your leader.  Kate,  your 15 years old.  Act your age, be your own person."

I laughed to myself, she was such an idiot.

"I don't follow you around to hide behind you you know?!  I follow you to keep you safe.!  I've already lost my brother ,  I'm not loosing my sister as well. " she just walked over to me silently,  and hugged me as if her life depended on it. 

" I'm sorry" she whispered

"good,  coz your wrong.  " she gave me a puzzled look. " I'm sixteen ,it's my birthday today. "
