A month had passed since abigail had returned. Ben was still grieving the death of Michael. But he was coping. Kate had become happier knowing that Abigail was safe with us. The stranger Abigail had come with was called Lucy. Unfortunately she died later from the injuries that had occurred. Luke had shot her as she came in, she shot Michael. We lost two good people. Because it turns out Lucy had saved abigail from the group they were with.
abigail had changed a lot since she left with beth, she had become Road hardened, she wasn't a little kid anymore. She was about eight, nine tops. But was more mature than all of us, and one hell of a shot. She wouldn't be looked after. Not by anyone.
She wouldn't tell us what happened after she left. But we knew it was bad. The scars she had showed it. All she would tell us was that beth was alive. That we might see her again
It just turned out to be sooner than we thought.
