The roar thundered through the air as the woman's fist collided with the enormous clay bird, the sheer force obliterating it in an instant. Debris spiraled downward, chunks of clay scattering like fallen meteors.
"More pests!" Deidara spat, his voice sharp with irritation. He leaped gracefully from the disintegrating construct, landing on a smaller clay bird hovering nearby. His hands twitched with restrained anger, already itching to sculpt another deadly masterpiece.
The woman moved with unparalleled precision, gripping the collapsing bird with raw power. In one fluid motion, she twisted the massive construct mid-air, angling its body downward to shield the Kazekage from the brunt of the impact. The wreckage slammed into the earth with a deafening crash, the ground trembling beneath its weight.
Lee stood frozen, his breath caught in his chest. His wide eyes locked onto the figure as she crouched over the fallen bird. With a sharp, almost brutal movement, she tore apart the clay beak with sheer strength, pulling Gaara's unconscious form free.
"Who... who is she?" Lee whispered under his breath, his voice barely audible over the chaos. The raw power in her movements was unlike anything he had ever witnessed.
Deidara snarled above them, his voice dripping with venom. "Another damn pest. Tch! You think you can outsmart me?"
His hands moved in a blur, weaving signs that sent tremors rippling across the battlefield. Suddenly, a series of landmines erupted, flames and debris consuming everything in their path. The explosions painted the air with fire and smoke, a destructive symphony that drowned out all else.
But the woman was faster than the flames. Before the smoke could even engulf them, she had already lifted Gaara's limp body, grabbing Lee and Neji by their arms as she vaulted away in a single, impossibly swift movement.
Lee felt the wind whip past his face as they landed behind a towering tree, the ground still shaking beneath them from the blasts.
"That will keep him occupied for now," she muttered, her voice steady and firm as she scanned the smoke-filled horizon.
Lee stumbled to his feet, his pulse still racing. "Who are y—"
"Doesn't matter," she interrupted, her tone sharp and dismissive. Her attention was already back on Gaara. "Your friend is injured, and the Kazekage..."
Her voice trailed off, the weight of her words hanging in the air.
"Dead?" Neji asked, his calm tone masking the tension in his voice.
"No." Her response was immediate. She pressed two fingers against a pulse point on Gaara's neck, her movements brisk and precise. "He's alive. Barely."
"He has an incredibly strong body. He's on the brink, but if we move quickly, I can stabilize him."
Her hand hovered above Gaara's chest, and a gentle green glow was radiating from her fingertips. The skin around her knuckles was rough, marred by cuts and calluses. These weren't the hands of a delicate lady—they were the hands of a true shinobi.
Lee and Neji exchanged a glance, their expressions grim.
Suddenly, Deidara's voice cut through the haze, sharp and mocking. "You think you've bought yourselves time? Let's see how long your pests can keep running!"
The woman's head tilted slightly toward the sound, her tone calm yet commanding. "You both! Get ready. He won't stop until he's dealt with all of us. Protect the Kazekage. I'll handle Deidara."
Lee's fists clenched. "But—"
"No arguments," she snapped, the green glow from her hands intensifying as she stabilized Gaara. "You've already lost too much time. Move!" she said before healing Neji, who stood up
