COMMENT PLEASEEE T_T WHEN Y'ALL DONT COMMENT IT FEELS LIKE MY CHAPTER ISNT GOOD ENOUGHHH T_T
The weather was heavy, the air thick with a gloomy stillness that seemed to press down on the village.
Dark clouds stretched endlessly across the sky, promising rain, but not yet delivering. A cold breeze moved through the streets, carrying with it a sense of unease.
The Hyuuga compound was shut tight, its towering gates sealed, not a single member stepping outside.
The Uchiha who remained in the village stayed within their homes, their silence louder than words.
The only active clans in the village were the Yamanaka, Akimichi, Aburame, Inuzuka, and Nara—all of whom had taken on missions for the village, supporting the sensory units, hunting teams, and tracking squads.
But the Sarutobi clan...
They were quiet.
Too quiet.
No news had come from them. No voices, no presence. Only the heavy weight of loss.
The smaller, lesser-known clans took part where they could, but the village itself felt like it was mourning.
Then—
A foreign chakra signature neared the village gates.
It wasn't hostile, but it carried a commanding presence.
From within the sensory unit's base, Ino Yamanaka immediately picked up on it. Her sharp mind quickly processed the familiar chakra.
"Temari...?"
Without hesitation, she pulled her coat tighter around her shoulders and stepped out.
Outside, walking through the village entrance, was Temari of the Sand.
She was covered in a black cloak, holding an umbrella to shield herself from the light drizzle that had begun to fall.
She wasn't alone.
Four elite bodyguards accompanied her—standard procedure for someone of her status.
But this wasn't a political visit.
She wasn't here to see the Hokage.
She had come for her friends.
After hearing about Asuma's death.
Ino's chest tightened.
She swallowed, pushing past the numbness that had settled in since the funeral. She walked forward, her movements feeling heavier than usual.
Temari spotted her immediately.
The second their eyes met, Ino didn't have to say a word.
Her gloomy expression spoke volumes.
Temari closed her umbrella, stepping closer. She hesitated for just a moment before speaking, her voice quieter than usual.
"...It's true, isn't it?"
Ino exhaled shakily and nodded.
Temari looked away, clenching the handle of her umbrella. "Damn it..."
She had fought against Asuma before. She respected him. And now he was gone.
Ino's voice was quiet. "Come inside."
Temari simply nodded.
Her bodyguards remained at the entrance while she followed Ino into the village, the two walking side by side, their footsteps silent against the dampened ground.
