That evening, the Kazekage, Kankuro, Temari, and the entire Hidden Sand Village bid farewell to the five shinobi. The medics had decided to stay behind for a bit longer to look after Gaara and Kankuro.
"We will meet again soon," Hinata said, smiling warmly at Temari.
Temari glanced at Hinata, then at Tenten. "See you soon, sisters," she said with a small grin as she helped Gaara stand.
"Kazekage-sama, please, sit down," Neji urged, his eyes narrowing slightly at Gaara's stubbornness.
"I cannot," Gaara replied firmly. "You have saved my life. The least I can do is show respect by standing." After a brief pause, he added, "And please, drop the 'Kazekage-sama.' I'm the same age as you, and friends don't need formalities."
"Well, it's getting late. We should head out now," Hinata said softly, glancing at Neji, then Lee, before turning back to the siblings.
The Hidden Sand villagers waved enthusiastically as the shinobi turned to leave. "Thank you, Hidden Leaf!" "You're our heroes!" "Thanks for bringing our Kazekage back to us!" The cheers echoed behind them as they sprinted off into the vast desert.
"Thank you," Temari said quietly, her words almost drowned out by the crowd.

"Sakura, you stubborn girl. I told you to stay at our hideout!" Tsunade scolded, standing behind Sakura as she applied ointment to the small injuries on her back.
"They were Hidden Leaf shinobi... I couldn't just sit here!" Sakura shot back, her voice firm as she handed Tsunade a kunai.
Tsunade frowned, taking the kunai and raising an eyebrow. "What's this about?"
"My hair. It's gotten long—it's almost down to my chest! Cut it short, please," Sakura said, folding her arms in irritation.
Tsunade tilted her head, eyeing Sakura's pink locks. "But it looks good on you—"
"It's troublesome in fights," Sakura interrupted, sighing. She glanced over her shoulder at Tsunade, her expression resolute.
"Fine, fine, you win," Tsunade muttered, rolling her eyes as she began cutting Sakura's hair.
The room fell silent for a moment, the sound of kunai cutting through hair filling the air.
"Sakura."
"Hmm?" Sakura responded absentmindedly, her eyes scanning a scroll she'd picked up from the table.
"Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and I have planned a meeting."
Sakura froze, the scroll slipping from her fingers and hitting the floor. "WHAT?! Seriously?!" she exclaimed, her voice loud and full of disbelief.
"Yes. It's been three years. It's about time you met them," Tsunade said casually, still focused on cutting Sakura's hair.
"I... I finally get to see Naruto and... Sasuke-kun..." Sakura murmured, her cheeks growing warm at the thought of Sasuke. Even after all these years, her feelings for him hadn't wavered.
"Hmm? Still into Sasuke, huh?" Tsunade teased, a sly grin forming on her lips.
"N-NOTHING OF YOUR BUSINESS!" Sakura stammered, turning redder than a tomato as she pointed at her hair, silently scolding Tsunade to finish cutting it.
Tsunade chuckled, amused by Sakura's reaction. "I'm just teasing."
As she made the final cut, Tsunade stepped back and admired her work. "There. All done."
Sakura ran a hand through her now-short hair, feeling its lightness. "Thanks, Shishou."
"We leave tomorrow," Tsunade added, her tone more serious now.
Sakura nodded, a mix of excitement and nervousness brewing in her chest. "Do you think... they'll even recognize me?"
