The sun had long since set, and the dim glow of fire torches flickered across the village. The hospital, the heart of Konoha's last hope, was surrounded by nearly the entire populace. Those with minor injuries sat outside, resting on makeshift bedding, while the seriously wounded filled the wards within. The area was heavily guarded—three sensory ninjas from Ino's unit stood at key points, along with Ino herself, her father, and another unidentified shinobi. They formed a defensive arc around the hospital, their combined perception scanning for any sign of a new threat.

Suddenly, Ino's sharp senses picked up something foreign, a chakra signature approaching from beyond their perimeter. Her pulse quickened as she sent a silent signal to her team. Within moments, a red-haired woman with glasses emerged from the darkness, her stride confident but non-threatening.

Ino narrowed her eyes. "Who are you?"

The woman stopped just a few feet away, raising her hands slightly to show she meant no harm. "I'm an ally," she said, voice calm but firm. "I came with the Legendary Sannin, Orochimaru and Tsunade. My name is Karin, and I'm a sensory ninja. I can help you track Naruto."

Before Ino could respond, a familiar voice cut through the tense air.

"I need to find Naruto," Kakashi Hatake said, walking toward them with a determined expression. "We don't know what might have happened to him."

Ino clenched her fists. "Kakashi-sensei, it's too risky! If something happened to Naruto, then whatever took him might still be there. We should send someone else—"

But then it hit her.

Kakashi and Guy were the only two high-ranking jonin who hadn't suffered casualties. And Guy... he had to stay behind to protect the hospital. That left only Kakashi.

Ino exhaled sharply. "Then we have to do this right."

Kakashi nodded. "I need all the help I can get. Ino, Karin, if you can track Naruto, we have a chance."

Karin adjusted her glasses, a glint of intelligence flashing in her eyes. "Tracking him alone might not be enough. If Naruto's captor can block normal sensory abilities, then we need something stronger." She glanced around and spotted a familiar figure—Hinata Hyuga, carefully tending to an injured shinobi.

"Kakashi, we need her," Karin said.

Kakashi called for Hinata, who quickly walked over, her expression laced with concern. "Kakashi-sensei? What's wrong?"

Karin stepped forward, her mind already piecing together a plan. "You have the Byakugan. Ino has the Mind Transfer Jutsu. And I have an advanced chakra sensory ability. If we combine them..."

Hinata tilted her head. "Combine them?"

Karin smirked. "If Ino links my mind to yours, we can synchronize our abilities completely. That would allow me to use your Byakugan as a sensory amplifier—eliminating all obstructions and interference in my detection range. Normally, my chakra perception is strong, but it can be blocked by terrain, barriers, or even certain jutsu. But with your Byakugan..." She adjusted her glasses again, excitement creeping into her voice. "I could sense through anything."

Ino's eyes widened. "That's... genius."

Karin wasn't done. "And it's not just tracking Naruto. If we synchronize completely, we could create a new technique. A fusion of sensory, mind control, and chakra manipulation—something no enemy could counter."
