The battlefield was a graveyard of chakra. Smoke curled through the shattered air. Wind howled low, carrying the heavy scent of blood and burnt earth.

Sakura stood up.

Her fists clenched, arms trembling — not from fear, but from the gravity of what she was about to do. She could feel the mark on her forehead pulsing, no longer just her Byakugou... but something older, deeper, more alive.

She sprinted across the cracked ground. Dirt and ash flew with each step. Her eyes locked onto Naruto first, then Sasuke, who was halfway crouched, Sharingan flickering, battered but not broken.

"Sakura—?" Naruto started.

"Sasuke! Naruto!" she barked, urgency sharpening her voice like kunai.

The two turned fully to face her now. The wind caught in her hair, and for a moment, there was a stillness in the chaos. Like the storm had paused to listen.

"Extend your right hands. Both of you. Now."

They exchanged a glance. Sasuke frowned. "What are you doing?"

Sakura took a breath, but her voice didn't tremble. "Something I've been working on for four years. Ever since Tsunade told me about the Byakugou... and after I accepted the Hashirama cells into my body..."

Her eyes burned with focus, pink hair glowing faintly from the chakra leaking out of her.

"...the technique is finally perfected."

She took both their right hands — one in each of hers — and looked them dead in the eye.

"The name of this jutsu..."
She swallowed hard.
"...Sakura: Seimei no Minamoto."

Their palms were warm in hers. Calm before the storm.

"Any attack," she said slowly, "inflicted on either of you from this point forward... will not affect your bodies."

Naruto blinked. "Wait—what?"

"You'll be untouchable," she said. "As long as I'm alive. As long as I have chakra. You won't die."

Sasuke's eyes narrowed. "No jutsu is absolute. Especially a defensive one this powerful. What's the cost?"

Sakura exhaled. "It requires extreme chakra control, an unbroken concentration loop, and a lot of chakra. That's it." She brushed it off, lips twitching slightly. "It's a pain to maintain, but that's all."

He didn't buy it. Not for a second.

His eyes pierced her like blades. "There's more you're not saying."

But Sakura's gaze didn't falter. "There isn't. This jutsu can only connect to two people. That's one of the limits. And... well, there's another theory I haven't tested — that the strength of the jutsu depends on how strong the caster is."

Naruto looked like he was about to ask more questions, but Sakura stepped forward. Her voice dropped to a whisper only the two of them could hear.

"Please. Just trust me."
Her voice broke — just slightly.
"I can't let that pathetic Madara take your lives... I won't allow it."

In her mind, the real words screamed, "It'd rather be me he kills... than both of you."

She raised both hands.

Her fingertips glowed a deep, rich crimson — and she pressed them into the center of each of their right palms.

A red, blooming seal—like a cherry blossom in blood—erupted in each palm, glowing like magma, not on her skin, but theirs.
