I DO NOT OWN NARUTO

The next morning, Sakura and Sasuke were up at the crack of dawn, 5 AM, while Naruto was still sprawled out on his futon. His pillow had somehow ended up near his feet, his head buried under the blanket, arms tightly hugging another pillow like his life depended on it.

"Dobe..." Sasuke muttered with an irritated expression, watching the chaos that was Naruto.

"NARUTO, WAKE UP!!" Sakura shouted, her voice piercing through the quiet.

Naruto shot up from his sleep, startled, flailing his arms. "R-RAMEN!?" he yelped, blinking in confusion. "Oh... hey, ugly..." he mumbled, yawning lazily.

For a split second, everything was quiet.

Sasuke's eyes widened slightly as he turned to look at Naruto. The clueless idiot still hadn't realized what he had just said.

Sakura, on the other hand, was shaking with rage, her right eye twitching dangerously. Her fists clenched so tight, that her knuckles went white. "I'M GONNA KILL YOU, NARUTO!" she screamed, charging at him with a fiery wrath.

Just as her fist was inches away from Naruto's face, ready to send him flying, Sasuke grabbed her by the waist from behind, dragging her away before she could turn Naruto into a pancake.

"Let go of me, Sasuke!" Sakura struggled against his hold, but Sasuke barely moved his grip firm.

"Calm down," Sasuke said coolly, not letting her go. "He's not worth it."

Naruto, completely oblivious to the danger he narrowly escaped, scratched his head and stretched. "Good morning Sakura-chan" He shot her a lazy grin, pretending nothing had happened, which only made her angrier.

Sasuke sighed, shaking his head. "Let's just go. We have training."

"Pfft, yeah, yeah." Naruto waved her off dismissively, hopping to his feet. "Let's get some breakfast first. I'm starving."

Sasuke narrowed his eyes. "You're always starving."

The trio stepped outside, already dressed in their usual training gear, the morning sun casting long shadows behind them. They decided to take a short detour and stopped by a dango shop for a quick bite and some tea.

Seated around the small table, Naruto wasted no time digging into his dango. "So, what's the plan, Teme?" he asked with his mouth half-full, using the nickname he'd kept for Sasuke, just like Sasuke called him dobe.

Sasuke barely glanced up from his tea. "Sakura does the planning. Ask her," he replied flatly, taking a calm sip.

Naruto turned expectantly toward Sakura, who was calmly munching on her dango.

She wiped her mouth before speaking. "Alright, here's the deal. We'll train until we get tired-and no, that does not mean training all night, Naruto!" She shot him a pointed look before continuing. "We'll probably stop by around 7 in the evening. I also heard the hot springs nearby are amazing, so we can check that out afterward. Our muscles will be sore from training, so a nice, relaxing bath in the hot springs will do wonders, don't you think?"

Naruto nodded enthusiastically, his cheeks bulging with dango. "Tha-munch munch sounds like a munch munch munch really good idea!" he exclaimed, still chewing.
