(Rewatching the War arc wasn't fun. especially with all the fillers, because I don't remember anything about the war arc. lol.)
Madara's back slammed against the jagged cliffside, stone cracking beneath the force. Dust rose like smoke around him. His arm, torn and useless, hung limp at his side, Tho already regenerating. His robes were ripped, soaked in blood, chakra flickering like a dying flame. He panted, ragged and uneven, a trail of blood dripping from his mouth. One eye—his Rinnegan—bled from overuse, from resistance.
Across the field, like the charred remnants of a meteor, Might Guy lay crumpled and still.
His entire body was scorched, skin glowing faint red where the 8th Gate's power had seared it. The air around him shimmered with heat. He couldn't move. Every breath was pain—shallow and labored. But still... he was alive.
Barely.
Above him, the sky looked soft. Blue. Peaceful. A final view for a man who'd risked everything. Guy coughed blood, his smile weak but still fighting.
"So... this is how it ends, huh," he murmured, lips cracked. "My flame of youth... finally flickering out..."
Kakashi screamed his name.
"GUY!! Damn it—don't die, you idiot—!"
Madara's eyes narrowed coldly. He couldn't believe he was still alive after that.
Guy had almost killed him.
He scoffed through grit teeth. "To think a mortal would push me this far..."
He lifted his one good arm and summoned a single, gleaming black orb of truth-seeking destruction. It hovered above his palm for a moment—then fired toward the motionless Guy.
A mercy kill? No. A final insult.
The orb screeched through the air, trailing death.
Guy saw it. He didn't even flinch.
So this was it.
But impact never came.
A flash—
A gust—
A golden blur.
CRACK!
A glowing foot slammed into the orb mid-air, kicking it off-course with explosive force. The black sphere detonated high above Madara, shaking the cliffside behind him and showering debris.
A figure landed in front of Guy, the earth cracking beneath his feet. Blazing golden light swirled from his cloak, and behind him, nine Truth-Seeking Orbs spun in orbit, purring with power.
His hair danced in the wind. His markings glowed.
Naruto Uzumaki.
He didn't speak.
He stood there—solid, divine, and furious.
Madara's eyes widened, heart pounding against cracked ribs. That chakra. That presence.
This wasn't the same boy from before.
"You might take my half of Kurama, but Dad gave me his half. "
Naruto glanced back at Guy. His expression softened. "You're not dying today, Bushy Brows-sensei," he said quietly, smiling. "Your flame still has more to burn."
He looked up again, straight at Madara.
"Now it's my turn."
In the next instant, a second figure landed beside him.
Sasuke Uchiha.
Naruto looked at his hand, the seal, the mark Sakura gave him. He clenched his fist.
She gave him this chance.
