It was early morning—4AM sharp. The sky was still cloaked in navy blue, only a faint hint of dawn curling at the edges. The village was silent, hushed in a rare peace.

Itachi stood in front of the mirror, carefully combing his long black hair. Each stroke was slow, methodical. He tied it in his signature low ponytail, his eyes meeting his own reflection. Calm, unreadable... but deep down, a storm swirled.

Izumi stepped in behind him, her presence grounding. She pressed a light kiss to his cheek, lingering just a second longer.
"Be okay," she whispered, her fingers brushing his. "Everything's in your hands now... the entire plan."

Itachi turned to face her, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"I will be fine," he said, his voice low but steady. He leaned in and kissed her once more—a silent promise—and without another word, turned and left.

He reached the Hokage building fast, every footstep echoing like a countdown in his mind. The air was colder near the tower. Sharper. A warning.

Danzo was already there, flanked by seven ANBU. Silent shadows in masks. Itachi, without a word, stepped into formation behind him—the eighth and final shadow. His presence felt like steel—controlled and ready.

Danzo's voice was crisp. "Only three will accompany me. Itachi, and two more."

Two ANBU stepped forward.

They were shorter than the others. Quieter. Their movements light, deliberate. But their presence? Dense, like tightly packed chakra. Itachi's eyes narrowed slightly. He didn't recognize them—not exactly—but something felt familiar.

No time to dwell on it.

Danzo gave a curt nod, and the four of them blurred into motion, sprinting through the quiet village and out into the darkened forests beyond.

The summit wasn't held in any of the five great nations. No, that would've been too risky. Too political. Instead, it was being held on neutral ground, a hidden fortress nestled in the snowy mountain borders between the Land of Iron and the Land of Sound.

A place called Raikyō, once an ancient shinobi outpost, now long abandoned.

The structure was old, carved into the side of a steep cliff face, with towering stone pillars holding up a grand hall buried in frost. Icicles hung like knives from every edge, and the mountain winds howled with the memories of shinobi who once trained and died there.

This was where the fates of the nations would clash.
This was where secrets would shatter.

Itachi's eyes narrowed as they neared the edge of the mountain trail, the snowy wind clawing at their cloaks.

This summit wasn't just about diplomacy.

It was a battlefield in disguise.

They walked into the towering, ancient structure—stone walls cracked with age, and the scent of cold earth lingering like breath in the air. Their footsteps echoed sharply in the vastness, the kind of silence that made even a whisper feel like a scream.

At the heart of the fortress stood the Summit Room.

It was massive, carved from dark grey stone, with high ceilings supported by crumbling columns wrapped in frost. In the center stood a large, circular table—carved of black ironwood, burnished with time. Around it were five grand seats, each with the symbol of a Hidden Village carved deep into the back.

The chair of Konoha bore the Leaf.
The chair of the Sand bore the curling Fan.
The Stone bore the Crag.
The Mist bore the Droplet.
And the Cloud—the Lightning Bolt.
