My Valentine - NingNing

It's the Valentine's day...Its now or never for me to do this...I mean she's one of the most popular girls in the entire school...and I've talked to her like three times...maybe four?

I had a box of chocolates hidden in my bag as well as some flowers. I arrived extra early just to make sure no one else was around. I went to the school principal and asked her if I could get into NingNing's locker. She asked to know why and despite stuttering my sentence maybe ten times I told her which made her agree to open NingNing's locker for me to put the chocolates, the flowers and even a letter I had at the bottom of my bag in there.

The letter explained why I got the flowers and chocolates and how I felt about her. Once everything was in there she closed the locker back up and told me to hurry up and go before someone sees me. I quickly went to the guys bathrooms and waited for a good twenty minutes before leaving again and going to my class early. When she showed up with her friends she had them. She was holding them. I looked down at my notebook and smiled. I might be known as a loner but well...I-I want to confess to her today. That's my one mission no matter what happens I'll accept it...

I sat quietly throughout class so...the usual for me. I kept glancing over at her and at one point she actually looked back at me...d-did she actually smile at me or did I die and imagine it as an amazing last memory? Once class was over she left with her friends and I was one of the last people out of class when I heard a confession. I saw who it was directed to...the wannabe prince charming of the school confessed to her...he confessed to NingNing I guess that's it then no point in still trying to conf-

NingNing: I'm not interested in you.

He was lost for words. He had no idea what he just heard...I think that was probably the first time in his life a girl said no to a confession of him. NingNing looked around I don't know why before smiling in the direction that I was in. It most likely wasn't at me but I still felt giddy inside.

Lunch period was more of the same me sat alone NingNing with her friends and I was starting to get nervous...the last few lines of the letter I wrote to her...it asked her to come to the rooftop at the end of the day...I-I don't even think she will come. I mean why would she? I didn't say who the letter was from I-I just said I was the person who got the flowers and chocolate and to meet on the roof...I'm such an idiot I should have said it was from me...she probably doesn't even know my name...

Once lunch was done we went to science class and was surprised when our teacher put us in pairs to do an experiment...I was with one of NingNing's friends called Minjeong...people called her Winter because of how pale she was...but not in a bad way! In a beautiful way...I still thought NingNing was more beautiful though...

Winter: Hey can you hold this.

I took it and held it for her. She took the lead in the experiment and I mainly just grabbed and held things for her. I think we worked well as a team...I just did whatever she told me to and she did whatever she needed to...

Winter: What's your name again?

Y/n: Y-Y/n...

Winter: Well Y-Y/n it was nice working with you.

Y/n: T-Thank you...

She smiled at me and well...I see why all of NingNing's friends are called top beauties in the school. Once that class was over it was only one more before it was time for me to confess to her. I was definitely not as concentrated in class...I think the teacher noticed but thankfully he didn't call me out on it.

The bell rung...the class was over...for a massive change I packed up quickly and left first. I went straight to the roof and took deep breathes trying to relax and know what I was going to say if she showed up.

Y/n: W-Will you go out with me? I-I need to sound more confident...please go out with me? N-No that's too desperate. I-I really like you and have always really liked you since we first met e-even if you don't remember it...too lon-

NingNing: I remember it. A field trip when we were both...what ten? You saved me when I fell over and since that day I was waiting for you to ask me out. Little did I know just how long I would have to wait.

I had turned to face her as she slowly walked forwards getting closer to me while talking.

NingNing: Eight long and lonely years for you because you never worked up the courage to ask me out...I wasn't lonely I was just loveless...but anyway. I think that's long enough. So can you ask me while looking at me Y/n?

Y/n: I-I...uh...I-I really like you...a-and I l-love you...so...w-will you go out with me?

NingNing: Mhm. I'll date my lonely prince.

Y/n: R-Real-

She grabbed my tie and pulled me closer making my head lower to her height as she pressed her lips onto mine. She planted a long but gentle...and warm kiss on my lips. She broke the kiss and giggled.

NingNing: God I've wanted to do that for so long.

Y/n: R-Really?

NingNing: Please never stop stuttering around me it makes you even more cute. Now let's go me and my girls were gonna go to karaoke and as my boyfriend your first job is to come with me~

Y/n: N-Now?

NingNing: Chop chop I wont sing you a love song if you don't hurry up~

This valentines...it's the best day of my life...and maybe this really is the start of my life...
