"I fail to see why he has to stay in the same room as us," Kalayavan grunted loud enough for Cat to hear over the sound of running water while he stood guard outside of the bathroom door. He glared at the man holding their youngest daughter, knowing very well he could hear him and his grievances. Aurora was resting soundlessly in his own arms, but his eyes remained glued on her younger sister; appearing content in the cop's hands as she cooed up at him.

The shower stopped running, followed by the sound of a sliding curtain and an irritated sigh.

Sending him a sideways smirk, Daniel wasn't shy to be there with a smart remark, "Maybe she doesn't want to be alone with someone who can act so violently around children. Clearly Cat needs a babysitter for you, or she wouldn't have been so willing to keep me close." Knowing very well he was inciting a reaction, he even secured his hold on the infant, like he was ready to move quickly if he needed to.

Kal's muscles tensed, but he wasn't able to take a step before the bathroom door opened, "If you two don't knock your shit off, I will send you across the yard and the girls and I will have our own room." He stepped to the side so she could come out in sweats and a tank top, using a small white town to dry her hair. "Now that sounds like a peaceful night, doesn't it?" Giving them both a look to show them just how serious she was.

Normally, he would have told his feisty little kitten that would only happen over his dead body. Then he would have shown her just how serious he was, as he tied her up and ravaged every inch of her. Now that she seemed to be completely healed from that morning's visit with death. But that wasn't going to happen when there was a cock-block sitting closest to the door on the edge of one of the two beds. "I'm not the one who keeps instigating the situation." If the man hadn't insisted on being in the same room as Caterina and him, then Kal wouldn't feel the need to be overly possessive.

"I don't care who started it," she hissed out in annoyance, turning to shoot him with a look that was sharper than one of their blades. "I'm finishing it, so the next one to start anything is going to sleep in the truck. I suggest you both knock it off, I'm exhausted and we all need the rest if we plan on reaching the others tomorrow." Taking their daughter from the human the moment she reached the other side of the room, finally allowing Kal to inhale a miniscule breath of relief.

She moved Amara over to the two car seats between the second bed and the wall that separated the room from the bathroom. The most protected place in the room, with a barrier of both their parents and a sacrificial mortal between them and whatever might come barreling through the door. Once the child was secured in her seat, she turned ready for him to hand her the second infant.

Before he released her into her mother's arms he kissed the top of their daughter's head. More than happy to save the mental image of his woman holding one of their offsprings in her arms.

Once Aurora was also secured, Caterina pulled back the covers in the spot closest to the two small bodies. Leaving Kal to lay between her and the cop, which he had absolutely no qualms over. Jerking his brows up to silently say just as much without his woman stressing out all over again. Jefferys response was to flip him off, and get into his own bed like he'd been told to.

Kalayavan sat down beside his Kanfedant, crossing his arms over his chest and settling in for night watch, until the soft knock alerted him to Samial taking over. Which he checked by peeking through the curtains before he returned to his spot, laying flat on his back with his hand on her hips.

The Sepireer fell asleep with his gaze flickering back and forth between the entry points and the man sleeping in the other bed.
