Please I've been on my knees

Change the prophecy

Don't want money

Just someone who wants my company

Let it once be me

Who do I have to speak to

About if they can redo the prophecy?

The Prophecy

Juliette POV

Even after I quieted the pounding of my heart, I could hardly go back to sleep.

Sebastian drifted off to sleep, yet I stayed up to watch the sun rise on the final day of January.

It was the day we were meant to return Rosalie to Hogwarts, take her before the keepers and start preparations for her next trial. Or rather, Sebastian would prepare her and I would return to work as I awaited the trial of Renatus Lestrange.

It was a bittersweet thing, finally leaving Sebastian to finish what I started with Rosalie. Things were different, now, knowing what Rosalie was.

I had a theory that completing her trials would strengthen her, so her Ancient Magic could become stronger than the dark parasite feeding off her fear. Sebastian did not seem so convinced by my theory, dismissing me every time I brought up ideas of how to get the creature out of her. He seemed to have an excuse for every single idea I came up with.

It was not like him to admit defeat. I rather expected him to be knee-deep in restricted section books in search of a cure. Yet, not a single book or scrap of research had made it home, though I had asked him countless times to bring home as much as he could on the subject of Obscurials.

Perhaps that is why he's spending late nights at the school, I told myself. He's trying to do research on his own again rather than attack the problem as a team.

So, either he had given up, or he was keeping me in the dark.

I was not sure which was worse.

"Please don't, I've got this," Rose's frail voice betrayed her fragile state. Still, she shrugged off the professor's help down the stairs into the Map Chamber.

Sebastian brought her cane just in case, but she insisted she take herself before the Keepers unassisted. She still had not fully recovered her strength, but she did not want the Keepers to think her incapable of completing the trials.

Sebastian and I waited at the foot of the stairs while Rosalie spoke with the Keepers.

"An obscurus?" San Bakar remarked with shock.

"Obscurials were quite common during our time, unfortunately," Niamh's voice was solemn, but a small flicker of hope warmed my chest. It meant the Keepers at least had some experience with Rose's condition.

They could help her.

They all shared a look, not saying another word to one another.

The silence stretched on uncomfortably. Rosalie waited anxiously, swaying on her feet as she struggled to remain standing. I took a step to assist her but Sebastian held me back.
