"The professor and I froze, unable to move or speak yet sharing a solemn understanding. We discovered something we did not even realize we were searching for: An Ancient Magic wielder."
Eight years after the events of the repository, Sebastian Sallo...
I nearly jumped out of my seat as Sebastian's voice echoed in the Undercroft. I did not even hear him come in. I was reclined on one of the three sofas that formed our cozy makeshift seating area, reading. In the corner was a small collection of instruments that I had enchanted to play music whilst I study.
"Even if I was hosting a ball, you're certainly not invited," I peered at him over the book I was reading and shot him a wink.
"You wound me, Jules!" he cried out as he pretended to stab himself in the heart with an invisible dagger.
"Are you really intent on calling me that?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"It's going to stick one of these days, I just know it." he plopped down onto the sofa next to me.
"What brings you down here?" I asked, lowering my book into my lap.
"I left my broom, need to head to practice soon. What are you and the orchestra doing down here?" As he reclined he stretched his arm on the sofa behind me. I did my best to ignore the warm feeling his proximity was giving me and stuck my nose back in the book.

"I've been studying for my NEWTs. Music helps me focus." I said matter-of-factly.
"You do realize you don't take your NEWTs for another year, right?" he teased and tried to snatch the book away, but I was faster.
"I realize that" I slid to the opposite end of the sofa, sitting with my back against the armrest and my legs outstretched between us to keep my distance. "but if I'm going to get recruited for the Auror Programme I need to be exceptional."
"You're already exceptional." he murmured.
We sat together for a moment, letting the music fill the silence.
"Well then, I think its due time for a study break." he declared as he sprang up from the sofa and stood in front of me.
"You aren't even studying." I protested.
He extended a hand out to me and bowed at the waist. "May I have this dance, Miss Fontaine?"
