Princess sat at her desk in the quiet of her room, books spread out before her. She had a paleontology textbook open, scribbling notes about ancient reptiles and fossils, her mind deep in the world of extinct creatures. The soft hum of the house filled the air, but it was soon interrupted by raised voices from the living room.
Diane's voice rang out, clear and firm. "I just think it would look cute, Wolf! A little color wouldn't hurt her."
Wolf's voice, louder and more agitated, responded. "Absolutely not! She doesn't need to mess with her fur, Diane."
Princess frowned, pausing her notes as she caught fragments of the argument. She could hear Diane, always the persuasive one, trying to convince him.
"Why not? I think she'd look amazing with some color! It's not permanent, just something fun."
"Fun? She doesn't need to look like a walking circus. Besides, she's growing up just fine as she is."
Princess, now curious, stood up and moved closer to the door. She couldn't make out everything, but she could tell this was a matter of some importance. Slowly, she crept toward the living room, hearing the conversation continue.
"Come on, it's just a little dye. It washes out, and it would be a fun experience. She's a teenager now, she's allowed to experiment with her style!"
"I'm not letting you mess with her fur. It's her natural look, Diane! She doesn't need to follow some trend."
Princess could hear Snake chime in, his usual laid-back voice adding to the mix.
"I agree with Wolf. Let her keep her natural look. We don't need her looking like one of those Instagram influencers with dyed fur. She's perfect just the way she is."
Princess, feeling a mix of amusement and a bit of irritation, stepped into the room, making her presence known.
"What's all the noise about? Why are we arguing?"
Diane and Wolf both turned to her, Diane immediately trying to mask her frustration with a smile.
"Hey, sweetie. I'm just trying to convince wolf in letting dyeing your fur a little. Something fun, like a little splash of color. What do you think?"
She had always liked her natural fur color and never really thought about changing it.
Wolf quickly intervened, clearly eager to stop the discussion. "No, no. It's a bad idea. You don't need to change your look, princess. There's no reason to go and make yourself look... like that."
Snake, who had been lounging on the couch, nodded in agreement. "Stick with your natural style, kid. You don't need any of that nonsense."
"just because she's a teenager doesn't mean she has to start trying to change everything about herself. She's not some fashion project!" Wolf says
Diane raised an eyebrow, leaning against the doorway, clearly not backing down. "Wolf, I'm not trying to turn her into some kind of fashionista. I just thought it might be fun for her to experiment a little. I'm not saying she has to go full-on rainbow or anything, just maybe try something light. You know, something a little different."
Wolf huffed, rubbing his forehead in frustration. "But why, Diane? She's growing up, sure, but she doesn't need to get caught up in trends. Let her find her own path without all the pressure."
Princess, who had been listening quietly, couldn't help but feel a little caught in the middle. She glanced between Wolf and Diane, wondering what she should say next. "I don't mind experimenting," she said cautiously, trying to keep the peace.
