It was Thursday afternoon when Princess and her squad, along with Diane, ventured to the Westfield Culver City Mall to shop for dresses for the upcoming anniversary party. The air was filled with excitement as they walked through the mall, eager to pick out their perfect outfits for the grand event at Alexei's family mansion.
Princess was the first to find her dress—a short, white strapless number that hugged her figure perfectly. She paired it with a black jacket adorned with rhinestones on the shoulders, adding a touch of sparkle. Her choice of ankle-high heel boots completed the look with a bold, chic flair. As she twirled in front of the mirror, she couldn't help but smile. This was the perfect dress for the party.
Claudine, not one to shy away from a dramatic look, picked out a striking strapless red dress. The dress had a pentagram design embroidered on the chest, making a bold statement. She added a velvet choker and elbow-length torn fingerless gloves, completing the look with black lace-up combat boots, each with a red rose on the side for an edgy yet elegant touch.
Laura, always looking for something unique, chose a sleeveless turtleneck striped navy blue and white minidress. The bold stripes made her stand out, while the cropped black fur jacket added a cozy yet stylish element. She paired the outfit with white stilettos, completing her chic look with a fuzzy headband that perched delicately on her head.
Kira, ever the trendsetter, opted for an off-shoulder black sweater dress with a golden dragon print. The intricate design flowed across her chest and shoulders, creating an eye-catching look. She wore red fishnet stockings beneath the dress, which gave her an edgy vibe, while the white Mary Jane shoes softened the look with their classic, innocent charm.
As the girls admired their outfits in the dressing room mirrors, Diane beamed with pride. "You all look stunning," she said, already pulling out her wallet to pay for the dresses. The girls eagerly thanked her, excited about how they'd look at Alexei's dad's anniversary party.
Friday evening arrived, and the Bad Guys, as promised, drove Princess and her friends to Alexei's house. As they approached, the sheer size of the mansion took them all by surprise. The sprawling estate loomed before them, elegant and grand, with lights twinkling like stars in the sky. It was everything Princess had expected—and more.
Wolf, who had been silent for most of the ride, leaned over and gave Princess a serious look. "Remember, have fun, but be careful, alright?"
Princess grinned, rolling her eyes slightly at his overprotectiveness. "I'll be fine, Wolf. Don't worry."
As the girls exited the car, they stood for a moment, taking in the extravagant scene before them. The driveway was lined with sleek black cars, and guests in high-end attire were milling around, entering through the grand doors. It was a night of sophistication and opulence.
Alexei, looking dashing in a dark suit with subtle red accents, greeted them at the door with a warm smile. His eyes landed on Laura, and without missing a beat, he leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. "Glad you could make it, Laura," he said, his tone affectionate.
The girls, still adjusting to the grandeur of it all, followed him inside. They were immediately greeted by the soft hum of a live orchestra and the scent of exquisite food wafting through the air. The decorations were extravagant, with gold and crystal accents on everything, from the chandeliers to the tables set with fine china.
Asmodeus, looking every bit the regal host, took the microphone in hand. The room fell silent as he began to speak.
"Welcome, everyone," Asmodeus's voice boomed through the microphone. "Tonight, we celebrate six wonderful years of love and partnership with my amazing husband, Frederick. Six years of a loving, healthy relationship, and an incredible son." He glanced at Alexei, his eyes filled with pride. "I love you, Freddie Frog," he added with a smile, making a playful reference to his husband's nickname.
The music shifted, and Asmodeus began to sing "Accidentally in Love" by Counting Crows, his voice smooth and heartfelt. The crowd watched in awe as he serenaded Frederick, the two exchanging loving glances as the song came to a close. When the music faded, Asmodeus and Frederick shared a sweet, passionate kiss. The room erupted into applause, everyone captivated by the undeniable chemistry between the two.
Except for Alexei. He gagged audibly, making a dramatic face. "Ugh, gross," he muttered under his breath. "Can't believe I'm stuck in the middle of this."
Princess and the girls couldn't help but laugh, exchanging amused looks at Alexei's reaction.
After the performance, Asmodeus and Frederick invited the guests to join them on the dance floor. The music swelled, and soon, Alexei and Laura were dancing together, lost in their own little world. They moved gracefully, their chemistry undeniable as they twirled and laughed together.
Princess, watching the couple, couldn't help but gush. "They're so romantic," she whispered to Kira, who nodded in agreement.
Claudine added with a grin, "I can't wait for my own slow dance with a handsome guy. Lucky Laura."
The dance ended, and just as Alexei and Laura leaned in for a kiss, a high-pitched voice rang out from the door.
"I'm here, Allie-boo!"
The room froze. Princess's eyes widened in surprise, and Alexei's face instantly turned pale. He froze in place, a look of dread washing over him.
It was Emberlynn.
Her entrance was dramatic, as always. She swept into the room, her red hair flowing behind her like a fiery cloud, wearing a sleek black velvet gown that hugged her every curve. Her piercing eyes scanned the room, and as soon as they landed on Alexei, a smug smile curled on her lips.
"Well, well, look who's all grown up," she said, her voice dripping with venom. "Still acting all high and mighty, I see."
Alexei, visibly irritated, took a deep breath, trying to mask his discomfort. "Emberlynn," he said curtly. "What are you doing here?"
Emberlynn's eyes twinkled with mischief. "Oh, I'm just here to join the party, Allie-boo. Couldn't miss your parents' anniversary celebration, now could I?"
Princess's gaze shifted between Alexei and Emberlynn, sensing the tension thickening in the air. She took a step closer to Alexei, not sure what to expect next.
The room seemed to hold its breath. What was Emberlynn really up to? And why had she shown up uninvited?
Alexei stiffened beside Princess, the muscles in his shoulders taut. "This is my family's celebration, Emberlynn. Don't cause trouble," he warned, his voice low.
Emberlynn just smiled, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Oh, I'm not here to cause trouble. I'm just here to remind you of... old times."
Princess exchanged a look with the girls, realizing that whatever was coming next, the night was about to get a whole lot more complicated.
