The lights were off in Princess's room, replaced by a moody purple glow from the LED candles flickering on the table. The air buzzed with excitement and a tinge of nervousness as Princess, Zoey, Claudine, Kira, and Laura sat in a circle, their fingers lightly resting on the ouija board's planchette. Claudine had insisted they use it. She said her older sister Harper used it once and talked to a spirit named Dave who liked strawberry Pop-Tarts.

Princess cleared her throat dramatically and leaned in. "O Spirit, if there is a ghost in this house... give us a sign!"

For a moment, nothing happened—just giggles and held-in breaths. Then the planchette slowly began to move. The girls gasped.

"It's moving!" Laura said, eyes wide.

Before anyone could say another word, a deep voice echoed in the room: "Did somebody summon me...?"

Everyone screamed. Claudine, acting on pure instinct, yanked off one of her boots and chucked it in the direction of the voice.

"Begone, demon!" she yelled. "I just killed a ghost! I've never felt so alive!"

The lights snapped back on, and standing in the doorway, rubbing his nose with a bewildered look, was none other than Mr. Wolf.

Princess dropped her head in her hands. "Wolf! That's not funny!"

"Oops," Claudine winced. "Sorry, Mr. Wolf..."

He chuckled, waving it off. "It's okay. I was just checking up on you girls. Didn't think I'd walk into a supernatural ambush."

Then Zoey, in her usual upbeat curiosity, tilted her head and asked, "Hey, Mr. Wolf, is it true that you drink out of the toilet?"

Princess and the rest burst out laughing while Mr. Wolf looked completely caught off guard.

"Uhhh... that's... a very personal question," he stammered, ears turning red. "Anyway—I gotta check on the guys. You girls have fun, just... maybe no more ghosts."

He hurried out of the room, flustered. Princess leaned toward Zoey with a mischievous smirk. "It's true. He does."

Zoey grinned. "I knew it!"

Later that night, the squad made their way into the enormous kitchen, ready for snacks. It was nacho time, and everyone grabbed something—cheese, chips, jalapeños... and, somehow, Claudine found a pack of Starbursts.

"You're not putting that on the nachos," Kira said in horror.

"I am now," Claudine replied, tossing pink and orange Starbursts on top like gourmet garnish.

Zoey laughed and turned to Princess. "Hey... so I heard Bowser invited you to that big party of his just so he'd give you money for a BTS concert?"

Princess rolled her eyes, the memory clearly sour. "Ugh, yeah. But he manipulated me. Said if I went with him, he'd 'sponsor' the tickets. But when I showed up, he tried to force himself on me."

The kitchen went quiet.

Zoey's face twisted with disbelief. "That's disgusting. What the hell?"

Kira crossed her arms, her voice sharp. "That overgrown reptile is the worst."

Then Claudine's eyes lit up with mischief. "Okay. Girls, huddle."

They formed a tight circle, eyes gleaming like they were plotting a mission.

Claudine whispered, "Here's what I'm thinking. We head to Bowser's mansion. TP the place. Rotten eggs. The works."

Princess hesitated, but then the idea sank in. She slowly smiled. "Honestly? I'm in."

Zoey grinned. "Let's do it. For BTS."

"Justice," Laura added with a nod.

Suddenly, a throat cleared behind them. Mr. Wolf stood there, arms crossed—but not angry.

"There's no way you're trashing Bowser's place without us."

Behind him, the rest of the Bad Guys—Mr. Snake, Mr. Shark, Mr. Tarantula, and Mr. Piranha—stood ready with toilet paper rolls in hand.

By 8:00 PM, Operation Payback was in full swing.

Under the cover of darkness, the squad and the Bad Guys approached Bowser's massive estate like a team of elite prank commandos. Toilet paper flew through the air like streamers. Rotten eggs splattered against his huge windows. Claudine spray-painted the front door in bold, bright letters: "BOWSER = HEARTBREAKER DAIMAO."

When they were done, they stood on the curb and admired their handiwork like artists admiring a masterpiece.

Princess raised her hand for a high five. "Ladies and gents... our work here is done."

They laughed all the way back to the mansion, sneaking in before anyone spotted them. Their hearts were pounding from the thrill, their spirits high from the revenge.

Back in Princess's room, the girls changed into their pajamas and curled up on pillows and beanbags for a movie marathon. First up: Beastly, the romantic drama that always hit them in the feels.

By the ending, all five girls were in tears, clutching tissues and dramatically wiping their faces.

"Why is this movie so romantic?" Claudine sobbed.

"I swear," Zoey sniffled, "if a guy doesn't learn to love me after turning into a beast, I don't want him."

As the credits rolled, they broke out the nail polish. Blues, purples, glitter. Princess painted Claudine's nails neon pink. Kira painted Laura's teal with star decals.

Princess sat cross-legged, using a brush to add chunky blue and violet highlights to her naturally curly hair, the color standing out beautifully against her pink fur. Zoey clapped in delight. "Girl, you look like a rockstar!"

"I am a rockstar," Princess joked.

Meanwhile, Piranha had fallen asleep on the floor, snoring softly. The girls couldn't resist. Kira pulled out mascara, Claudine had blush, and Zoey carefully drew on bright blue eyeshadow.

"Makeover!" Laura whispered.

By 9:00 PM, the room was peaceful. Princess was asleep in her bed, curled under a pink velvet blanket. Zoey, Claudine, Laura, and Kira snuggled in their sleeping bags on the floor, whispering until they dozed off one by one.

The mansion was quiet, the glow from the LED candles still casting soft purple light across the room.

It had been a wild night—ouija boards, nacho disasters, prank missions, and heartfelt moments—but it was the kind of slumber party they'd remember forever.
