A blood moon, occurring during a total lunar eclipse, has long been associated with various myths and legends. In some cultures, it's believed that during a blood moon, the veil between the living and the dead becomes thin, allowing spirits to cross over into the mortal realm.

The mansion was bathed in an eerie crimson glow, the massive blood moon looming overhead like an unblinking eye. The usual warmth of the home had been replaced with an unnatural chill, and the very air hummed with energy. Shadows flickered unnaturally, and whispers that didn't belong to the living slithered through the halls.

Princess, wrapped in a thick blanket, sat curled up on the couch. Her pink eyes were wide as she stared out the window at the night sky. She had read about blood moons before how they were said to thin the veil between the living and the dead but she never expected to feel it.

Then, a soft, familiar voice carried through the room.

"My darling... you've grown so beautifully."

Princess's breath hitched. She turned, her heart pounding. Standing near the doorway was the translucent figure of a tall, elegant feline woman with soft white fur, eyes identical to Princess's, and a warm, ethereal glow surrounding her. It was her mother.

"M-Mum...?"

Tears welled in her eyes as the ghostly feline stepped closer, a gentle smile on her face. Before Princess could even think, she lunged forward, trying to hug her only to pass right through her mother's form. A wave of cold rushed through her, making her shiver violently.

Her mother let out a soft chuckle, though there was sadness in her gaze.

"Oh, my dear, how I wish I could hold you one last time... but I had to see you, to make sure you were happy."

Before Princess could answer, an ear-piercing wail echoed through the halls, followed by the distinct sound of objects crashing and doors slamming shut on their own.

Diane rushed into the room, looking both startled and irritated.

"Okay, what in the supernatural hell is going on?!"

Behind her, Wolf, Snake, Shark, Piranha, and webs were scrambling into the room, eyes wide in terror as ghostly figures floated, marched, and even ran through the mansion, some wailing, others laughing in eerie tones.

"I KNEW BLOOD MOONS WERE BAD, MAN! I KNEW IT!" Piranha says

"You don't know anything!" Webs snapped, though her usual sass was betrayed by the way she clung to his arm.

Shark pointed toward the hall, his eyes bugging out.

"Uh, guys... I think we've got company."

Through the dim glow of the moonlight, more spirits were appearing some of them familiar.

One of them? Wolf's own mother. A slim, female white fur wolf with piercing golden eyes, staring right at him.

Wolf's breath caught in his throat.

"...mom?"

"Darling?" His dad muttered

"Mom?" Hurley, wolf brother whispered

The mansion had officially become a supernatural war zone ghosts from the past returning for unfinished business. Some seeking closure, others bringing chaos.

And with the blood moon at its peak, there was no telling what would happen next.
