(Part two of AlicornNorth requests)

One Hour Ago...

Mr. Wolf and Diane walked into the house, the soft glow of the porch light illuminating their satisfied smiles from their date. It had been a wonderful night—good food, great company—but Wolf had one more thing to do before he called it a night.

"I'll be in the kitchen," Diane said, placing her purse on the counter. "Are you going to check on Princess?"

"Yeah," Wolf nodded. He pulled out a small box from his coat pocket. "Got her some raspberry macarons from that bakery she loves."

Diane chuckled. "She's going to love them."

"I'll go give these to her," he said, making his way upstairs.

He knocked softly on her door, but there was no answer.

"Princess?" he called, pushing the door open.

The room was dark, but he could see the soft glow of her bedside lamp. Smiling, he walked in and placed the box on her dresser.

That's when he noticed it—her bay window was wide open.

His eyes narrowed. He went over to close it, but as he did, something caught his attention.

A piece of paper was sticking out of her backpack.

Curious, he pulled it out and read it.

Zoey Del Viccho's Annual Valentine's Party – You're Invited!

His ears flattened. His tail flicked. His dad mode kicked in at full force.

He turned toward the bed.

"Princess, why do you have—" He yanked the covers back, only to find—

Plushies.

No Princess.

His eyes widened.

He clenched his jaw.

She had snuck out.

Without wasting another second, he bolted downstairs and grabbed his car keys.

"I cannot believe this girl!" he muttered, slamming the door behind him as he got into his car.

He knew exactly where she was.

One Hour Later

The party was in full swing when Wolf stormed in, his furious voice cutting through the music like a knife.

"PRINCESS ADORA CHESTERFIELD!!!"

The entire room went silent.

All eyes turned toward the angry wolf in a suit, his golden eyes blazing with frustration.

One of the partygoers hesitantly spoke up. "Uh... she's outside... with some guy."

Wolf's expression darkened.

Without another word, he pushed through the crowd and stormed outside.

The sight before him made his blood boil: Princess was Slow dancing With Eddie

The soft twinkling lights, the way she smiled at him— Wolf saw red.

He stomped forward and yanked them apart.

Eddie stumbled back in surprise. "Whoa—"

Princess's eyes widened. "Wolf?! What are you doing here?!"

Wolf glared at her. "I should be asking you that!" He pointed toward the car. "Let's go. You're done here."

Princess crossed her arms. "I don't want to leave."

Wolf's ear twitched. "Well, too bad! You snuck out, you lied to me, and now I'm bringing you home!"

Princess clenched her fists. "No! You can't just drag me away like a child!"

Wolf growled. "I'm your father! It's my job to keep you safe!"

Princess snapped, "Well, you're not my real dad anyway!"

The words hit Wolf like a gut punch but She wasn't done.

"You don't trust me enough to let me do anything on my own!" she shouted. "When are you going to stop treating me like a baby kitten?!"

The crowd was whispering now, watching the intense argument unfold.

"Princess—" Wolf started, but she cut him off.

"Sometimes I wish you weren't my dad!" she yelled.

Wolf froze.

For the first time that night, the anger in his eyes was replaced with hurt and Princess saw it.

And it made her heart clench But she was still too mad to stop.

"I'm sixteen, Wolf! Why can't you Deal with it!"

Then she stormed off and Wolf stood there, stunned, as she got into her car and sped away.

At Home, Princess slammed her bedroom door shut, letting out a frustrated sigh.

She quickly changed out of her party clothes, throwing on her soft pink pajamas patterned with tiny tiaras. She flopped onto her bed, scrolling mindlessly through her phone.

Then she stopped Her thumb hovered over a video in her gallery.

she tapped it. It was a clip from when she was five. She was wearing Mr. Wolf's oversized coat and sunglasses, striking a dramatic pose.

"Don't mind me, just robbing this place!"

The camera shook as laughter erupted, and then
Wolf scooped her up in his arms, spinning her around.

Her five-year-old giggles filled the room. Princess stared at the screen, her heart sinking. Her argument with Wolf replayed in her head.

"Sometimes I wish you weren't my dad."

Her throat tightened. She shut her phone off and buried her face in her pillow.

She felt awful

The Next Morning The house was eerily quiet.
Princess hesitated outside the kitchen before stepping in.

Wolf sat at the table, sipping his coffee. He looked tired.

Princess took a deep breath. "Wolf..."

Wolf glanced up. She shifted uncomfortably. "I'm sorry..."

Wolf sighed, setting down his mug. "I'm sorry too, kiddo. I shouldn't have treated you like a kitten."

Princess looked down. "I shouldn't have said... what I said"

Wolf gave her a small smile. "I know you didn't mean it"

A silence settled between them Then, Princess smiled and held out her arms, Wolf chuckled and pulled her into a hug, It was all okay now Or so they thought.
