In the morning, there was still a little time when I woke up before I'd have to get Abbie up for school, so I went out into the kitchen to get a pot of coffee started. Once I'd done that, I went into the living to check up on Jimmy.

He was still sound asleep, in the same position he'd fallen asleep in. He breathed in and out of his nose softly as he slept, the red blotches on his face had cleared up from last night, and the red rings were gone from around his eyes.

I suddenly heard my phone vibrating on the coffee table, and I was grateful that I had it set to vibrate, that way it wouldn't wake Jimmy up. I wanted him to get as much rest as he could. I grabbed my phone and went into the kitchen to answer it, talking in a hushed voice.

"Hello?"

"Elise, it's Brian." I was surprised that Brian would call this early. His voice sounded deeper than usual, and tired too.

"Hey, Brian."

"Have you seen Jimmy at all? Do you know what happened?" Brian asked me, worried for his best friend.

"Yeah, I know what happened. And yes, I have seen Jimmy. He's actually here with me, he showed up yesterday and described what occured. He fell asleep and spent the night unintentionally." I said.

Immediately there was breath of relief on the other end. "Oh thank God. I was scared to death something might've happened to him, he was so upset when he left the bridge. He wouldn't stay for questioning and just walked away without barely saying a word to anyone."

"He was pretty upset when he arrived here, so I'd say he came straight here from there. But he's fine, well, not really, but you get the point. He's safe, is what I meant." I replied.

"Thanks for keeping him safe. The rest of us couldn't take anything more right now, we're all pretty much in shambles. The guys and I want to know if it's ok if we can cancel studio time for the next few days." He said.

"Yeah, that's totally fine, I understand. I can let Jimmy know that you've cancelled." Brian thanked me again, and another thought passed through my mind. "Hey, would you mind bringing him a change of clothes for today? He's still asleep and I don't know when he'll be up, but he'll need something to change into."

"Sure, I don't mind. You want me to just bring them over now?"

"As soon as you can would be great."

"Alright, I'll just need your address and I can probably be there in fifteen minutes." He said, and I gave him the address, thanked him for doing this favor and he thanked me again for taking care of Jimmy, and then we hung up.

I looked at the time, it still wasn't quite time for Abbie to get up yet. She'd probably just be done getting dressed when Brian would get here. I started her breakfast like I always do, still watching the time for when I'd have to go wake her up.

When it did come time to wake her up, I'd just put her waffles in the toaster oven and got the bacon started. I walked down the hall to her room and quietly opened the door, going over to her beside and gently shaking her.

"Abbie, you gotta get up for school." I told her softly, and she groaned before rolling over, her eyes opened as slits.

"Mm'kay." She mumbled, stretching out and then slowly sitting up. I went over to her dresser, and opened the drawer with her pants in it.

"Which do you want to wear today?" I asked her, and she hopped off  her bed and came over to where I was crouched down, standing beside me.

Then she pointed to a pair and said, "Those ones."
