4. Meeting the Alpha

Kendall's POV

We entered the house and everyone looked at me like I had killed someone, I felt like crawling in a hole and dying.

Gracie kept on howling like crazy and she just wanted to walk up the stairs.

"C'mon rogue, up the stairs!"

Gracie smiled in the inside and yapped happily.

We reached a door and a lovely smell of the woods and nature with a pinch of oranges filled my senses.

The guy had a look of concentration on his face meaning he was talking to someone through mind link.

"Come in Jarrod" someone said, The Alpha. So this guys name was Jarrod.

We walked in and I had my head down, it was considered rude to look into the Alpha's eyes if you were a rogue.

I could feel his eyes burning holes into my head.

'Look at him Kendall, just look up into his eyes' Gracie pleaded.

'No Gracie, we don't want him to hate us anymore than he does now!' I yelled at her.

She whimpered and went quiet after that.

'Gracie?' I asked her. She didn't reply. Great she was angry at me.

"What is your purpose here rogue?" The alpha asked me using his alpha tone. I had no choice but to reply to him.

"I ran away from my former pack, Blood Moon"

"Well I should take you back then"

"No please don't do that. I beg of you" I pleaded while keeping my head down.

"And why shouldn't I?"

"I'm... I... I'm scared" I stuttered. "They.. They hurt me"

The Alpha growled loudly and to my mistake I looked up into his eyes.

Both of us gasped and stared at eachother. He was HOT! The most beautiful creature I have ever seen in my life. I could easily see the outline for his six pack through his shirt and his muscles tensed whenever he moved his arms. His bright blue eyes stared straight through my soul.

"Mine" he growled.

"This rogue is your mate?" Jarrod asked.

"Yes she is my mate, now leave Jarrod"

Before anyone could move I ran out of the room and out of the pack house where I let Gracie free.

'Go back there Kendall! Don't you dare leave our mate! He loves us and he won't hurt us like those bastards did back at Blood Moon' Gracie yelled at me.

Just before I reached the woods my mate jumped on my back and I fell to the ground immediately. I knew it was him because of the pleasure that went through my body when we touched.

Gracie purred while I whimpered.

He whimpered and nuzzled his head into my neck.

'Don't leave' he pleaded.

I didn't answer to him so he started nipping at my fur lightly.

'Lets just go back to the house and we can talk. If you still want to leave after that I will let you leave'

When he said this Gracie howled in pain.

'No! We are not going to leave him Kendall! We are staying here, he is not going to hurt us, he loves us!' Gracie said angrily.

I whimpered and he got off my back.

Jarrod came out of the house carrying a pile of clothes for us both.

I grabbed the clothes and walked behind a tree where I shifted and got changed into a jumper and shorts which belonged to my mate, I recognised his scent.

I walked back and my mate was waiting there with his hand out for me to grab.

I stared at his hand for a few minutes like it was something from out of this world.

"Take my hand" he said in his alpha tone.

I grabbed his hand and he laced our fingers together.

We walked back to the pack house which was in the middle of the woods.

We entered his bedroom and sat down on his bed crossing his legs.

"Come sit" he said patting the space in front of him.

I sat down in front of him and mirrored his actions.

"Tell me a bit about yourself beautiful" he said calmly.

I looked up at him with my big brown eyes. I only just noticed how much bigger her was to me. I was only 5'5 while he was a towering 6'2.

"I.. Um.. My name is Kendall Oakley"

"Kendall.. Such a beautiful name for a beautiful girl" he said smoothly. His voice was so heavenly.

Snap out of it Kendall, you are just going to leave him, you don't need a repeat of what happened at Blood Moon.

"Well Kendall, my name is Declan, Declan Winters. And I am the Alpha of the strongest pack in America, Red Dawn"
