35. Looking for you

Declan's POV

I awoke to a quiet house. I listened extra carefully for any movement but I couldn't hear anything.

Where's Kendall?

I quickly hopped out of bed and put on some briefs and grey sweatpants.

"Kendall?" I yelled out.

Nothing.

I ran through the house and looked through every room but she was no where to be found.

"Kendall!?" I yelled out more frantically.

Where the hell is she?

I ran back into the bedroom and found a piece of paper on her side of the bed. I picked it up and it was a letter from her.

'Hi Declan. I know you're probably looking for me at the moment but you won't find me. I have decided to leave and I don't know if I will ever be back. Please I know that you're going to keep looking for me but please just give up and keep going with the rest of your life. Find a girl that will be your perfect mate and luna and just forget about me, I know it won't be easy but it's just what you have to do. If I ever come back I don't know if I will ever be able to forgive you for what you did to me. I guess at the moment I just need space away from you and Zeke. It won't be easy for me and Gracie because of the mating bond and that I still love you but it's for the best. I wasn't safe there and I will take care of myself elsewhere. I will always love you Declan and you will always be my first love but you did the one that I thought you were never going to do. You treated me just like they did at Blood Moon. After everything that they did to me, you just go ahead and do the same thing. Goodbye Declan xx -Kendall <3'

I sprinted outside and turned into my wolf and ran into the woods.

I sniffed the air but I couldn't sniff her scent.

After hours of searching and coming up with nothing I trudged back to the pack house sadly.

I howled at the moon and got dressed in the spare clothes that I stash in the woods.

"Hey man, how was last night?" Jarrod asked me as soon as I walked through the door.

"I did something bad mate but you can't tell anyone!"

"Wait! Where's Kendall?"

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO KENDALL!?" Zander roared coming through the front door of the pack house.

"Didn't I tell you that if you ever stepped foot in my territory again, that I would kill you" I growled, my eyes going black.

"What's going on?" Mum asked coming into the room.

Everyone was looking around at each other confused. I guess this is the moment of truth then.

"Mum please don't get angry but I did something really bad and I regret it so much but I couldn't control Zeke and she was in heat"

"Declan what are you saying? Please don't tell me what I think you're gonna say"

"I'm so sorry mum, I raped her. I'm so disappointed in myself"

Mum started crying and Zander growled and tried to pounce on me but Jarrod tackled him to the ground and dragged him out of the pack house with some help of fellow pack members.

"Declan you disgust me. I can't even look at you"

Zeke howled. We both have hurt the people we love most. I don't deserve to be alpha.

'We were picked alpha for a reason' Zeke whimpered to me. He was still in pain that his mate had left him.

I mind linked the pack telling everyone to look for Kendall.
