6. Declan

Declan's POV

I was just organising pack stuff when I smelt a rogue on my territory. I sent Jarrod, my Beta, to go get it and bring it back to me so I could kill it. It's what I always do when a rogue comes onto our land. 

 After a few minutes Jarrod mind linked me telling me that he was at the office door.

I smelt the most amazing thing ever, what was the source of this amazing thing. It was a huge mixture of Lavender, Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberries. Even though it was a weird combination it smelt amazing!

Zeke was going crazy and he was yapping happily.

"Come in Jarrod" I said.

Jarrod walked in with a girl who was only wearing a button up shirt. She looked only around 15 or 16, I was only 17 myself. She had curves in just the right places and her legs were quite long and tan.

She had her head down, it was considered rude for a rogue to look at the alpha.

I noticed by her body language that she was fighting with her wolf.

"What is your purpose here rogue?" I asked in my alpha tone, she had no choice but to reply to me.

"I ran away from my former pack, Blood Moon" she said. Her voice was so angelic! Shut up Declan, she is a rogue!

"Well I should take you back then"

"No please don't do that. I beg of you" she pleaded while keeping her head down.

"And why shouldn't I?"

"I'm... I... I'm scared" She stuttered. "They.. They hurt me"

I growled loudly. No she-wolf should ever be hurt. She looked up into my eyes in surprise.

She looked like a goddess. Her face was perfect, she was perfect. Her long dark brown hair cascaded down across her shoulders reaching just underneath her breasts. Her brown eyes were so cute, she looked so innocent, like a baby.

"Mine" I growled.

"This rogue is your mate?" Jarrod asked.

"Yes she is my mate, now leave Jarrod"

Before Jarrod left my mate ran out of the room and out of the pack house letting her wolf go. I ran after her and changed into my pitch black wolf, because I was an alpha I was much faster than her and caught up with her easily.

Just before she reached the woods I jumped on my mates back and she fell to the ground immediately.

I whimpered and nuzzled my head into her neck meaning I didn't want to hurt her.

'Don't leave' I pleaded.

She didn't answer me so I started nipping at her yellow fur lightly. Her wolf was so beautiful.

'Lets just go back to the house and we can talk. If you still want to leave after that I will let you leave' I said to her while howling in pain.

She whimpered and I got off her back.

Jarrod came out of the house carrying a pile of clothes for us both.

She grabbed the clothes and walked behind a tree where she shifted and got changed into a jumper and shorts which belonged to me.

She walked back and I was waiting there with my hand out for her to grab.

She stared at my hand for a few minutes like it was something from out of this world.

"Take my hand" I said in his alpha tone.

She grabbed my hand and I laced our fingers together. Our hands fit together perfectly. Her hands were so small compared to mine because she was only a small girl, only 5'5 and I towered over her at 6'2.

We walked back to the pack house which was in the middle of the woods.

We entered my bedroom and I sat down on my bed crossing my legs.

"Come sit" I said patting the space in front of me.

She sat down in front of me and mirrored my actions.

"Tell me a bit about yourself beautiful" I said calmly. I wanted to know anything and everything about my beautiful mate.

She looked up at me with her big brown eyes. I could stare at them all day, they were so hypnotising.

"I.. Um.. My name is Kendall Oakley and I'm 16"

"Kendall.. Such a beautiful name for a beautiful girl" I said smoothly.

"Well Kendall, my name is Declan, Declan Winters, I am 17 years old. And I am the Alpha of the strongest pack in America, Red Dawn"

She told me about what happened at her former pack and I was beyond angry. How dare they do that to her! My mate!

Zeke was threatening to come out, I could feel him under my skin.

I could only just hear her calling out my name. The way my name rolls off her tongue is just amazing.

I looked at her with love, concern and anger in my eyes.

"Please don't do anything Declan, I'm scared" she said shakily. Don't be scared my little mate.

"I'm going out for a run, stay here" I said in my alpha tone. Zeke was going to come out any second now.

I hopped up from the bed and walked outside as fast as I could.

As soon as I walked out of the house my bones started to break and I appeared in my wolf form.

And off I went for a run to try and calm myself down.
