14. Meeting the pack

Kendall's POV

I walked up to Declan's room and started unpacking all my clothes and folding them up into neat piles. I was meeting the pack tonight so I needed something nice to wear.

I looked through all my clothes and picked out the black dress that I bought today at Forever 21 and chose my red high heels so go with them.

I grabbed all my clothes and walked to the bathroom to get ready. I had a quick shower and washed my hair, my body and quickly shaved my legs.

I dried myself and got dressed, curled my hair and put a tiny bit of makeup on.

I walked back to Declan's room and saw him looking at himself in the mirror, trying to put on his tie.

"Need some help?" I asked him.

He turned around and looked at me in shock.

"Kendall, you look stunning"

I blushed because of his comment and hid my face with my hair.

Declan moved so he was standing directly infront of me and moved my hair out of my face.

"You don't need to hide your blush from me, it's cute"

I blushed even more and fixed his tie up. How come boys struggle to fix their own ties.

 "Thank you beautiful" Declan said once I finished with his tie.

He wrapped his arm around my waist and we walked down to the kitchen.

"What about if they don't like me" I said sadly.

"They will love you. You are going to be a great Luna"

I smiled up at him and took big deep breaths.

He opened the back door and I saw everyone in the open backyard staring at us.

They all bowed their heads and we headed up on a podium which was in front of them all.

"Hello everyone, I am Declan, as you all should know. This is my mate and your Luna Kendall, treat her with respect and don't you ever lay a hand on her or you will be kicked out of the pack or worse, death. Now there is something important that I need to discuss with you all. Alpha Jake from Blood Moon Pack is going to be here early tomorrow morning for a surprise attack on us. All women and children will be locked in the underground safe department and all men will be waiting around the pack house patrolling. Some of our best fighters will be out patrolling the borders. I expect everyone to help fight and I have organised for a neighboring pack to come and help us as well. Thank you everyone, we may now celebrate for the welcoming of your pack Luna, Kendall"

Everyone cheered very loudly and started drifting off to do their own thing. There was lots of food and drinks set out for everyone and most of the boys around Declan's age were playing soccer.

"Declan you can go and play with them if you want"

"I don't want to leave you here by yourself"

"Go Declan" I ordered, pushing him towards the rest of thr guys.

He turned around and gave me a small kiss before running off towards the other guys.

"Wuna Kendaw" A cute voice said from behind me.

I turned around and a small girl with cute little pigtails stood there looking up at me.

I picked her up and placed her on my hip.

"What's your name sweetie?"

"Wiver"

"I'm sorry about River, she can't pronounce a lot of her letters properly"

"It's alright. She's adorable"

I looked at River and smiled at her. "I love your name River, it's very unique"

"What does woonique mean?"

"Unique means it is very hard to find and that there is not that many. Your name is unique River because not many people have that name"

"Oh, you are weally pwetty Kendaw"

"You are really pretty as well River"

She yawned in my arms and I smiled at the lady who I am presuming is her mother.

I passed River over to her and she smiled.

"Thank you for talking with River. While Alpha Declan was talking she wouldn't stop pestering me about coming to talk to you"

"Whenever she wants to come talk to me, you know where to find me and I will talk to her. She is the cutest child ever"

"Thank you Luna"

"Call me Kendall"

"My name is Abigail and my mate is Jarrod, the Beta of the pack"

"Oh yeah, Jarrod is the one who found me and took me to Declan"

She smiled at me and then said she had to leave so she could take River to bed.

I took a seat with all the little kids who were sitting on the grass playing duck duck goose.

One of the little kids tapped me on the head and yelled goose and ran off. I hopped up off the ground and started chasing the little girl who had ran half way across the circle. I had nearly got her when Declan wrapped his arms around me and span me in a circle, lifting me off the ground.

He put me back down on the ground and nuzzled his head in my neck.

"Why do you have to be so perfect all the time?" Declan whispered in my ear.

I giggled and turned around in his arms so I could kiss him.

"EWWWWWWW" All the little kids squealed when we kissed. I laughed and buried my head in Declan's shoulder.

"You are the most perfect Luna. Everyone seems to love you, especially the little kids. I saw you with that little girl just before and you are going to be an amazing mother one day"

"And you are going to be an amazing father" I said quietly.

Just as he was about to kiss me Gracie started howling in pain.

'What is it Gracie?'

'He's coming'

I whimpered and Declan quickly pulled away from our soon to be kiss.

"What is it my love"

"He's coming"

He growled and looked out towards the woods which were behind us.

Everyone started growling so I'm guessing he mind linked everyone that Blood Moon was coming.

"You have to go now, go follow all the women and children to the secret compartment. You will be safe there"

"Declan, no! I am not leaving you! You could die!"

"I would do anything to make sure that you are safe!"

"Declan"

"Kendall! Go! Now!" He said using his Alpha Tone.

Tears trickled down my cheeks and Declan leaned in and kissed them away.

"I'm only doing this so you will be safe Kendall"

"Promise me you will come back"

"I promise"

I kissed him with everything that I have and hugged him for what may be that last time.
