My One And Only - The Date

It's seven o'clock now. I'm ready, and just wait for Liam, he's gonna be here soon. "Claudia, someone's picking you up..." my brother, Louis, he shouts at me from downstairs, and I run down the stairs. I thought it should be the most exciting feeling, when someone asked you for a date, I mean this is happening now, right? I should be happy, right? Okay, let's do this!!!

"Hey brother... thank you... I'll see you later, okay..."

"Have fun, sissy... I'll see you when you're back and hear all the stories, and by the way, moving on from Niall?" he asks. Yes, he knows everything, he knows my feeling, but he never helped. I mean, of cousrse he's in my side, but never said anything to Niall. He's close to Niall, but never betray me.

And, I'm going to a date with Liam. He looks awesome, with his blue shirt, brown jeans and converse. I never seen without his uniform, he looks different and he amazed me. Honestly, he did amazed me when I first saw him in front of my door. We're going to the coffee shop by his car. We both listen to the radio and suddenly James Blunt's song, You're Beautiful

"You're beautiful..." he says, "Thanks Liam, you look good as well..." hmm... We don't have much to talk, we don't have much conversation, I guess we both nervous. Well, this is a first date. I know I like Niall a lot, but first date is first date, and the nerve is always the same. If Niall is here, I will be the happiest girl in the world. You can judge me, I know Liam is a great person, but my heart is Niall, maybe, just maybe, this date will change everything.

Liam opens the car's door for me, that is so sweet. I know it a simple little thing, but as sweet as lolipop. He walk behind me, put his arm around me, it's like he's protecting me from anyone. We sit side by side. I don't feel comfortable with this situation, as we're not so close, yet. "Is this your first time come here?" he asks, and I'm just nodding, because this is really my first time, it's a great coffee shop, great ambiance, there's some couples, and group of teenages. "I suggest you order their waffle, it's awesome..." he adds then smiles. So I agree with his suggestion, and I order Dutch Dark Chocolate Waffle, and he orders Pistachio, it is his favorite, as far as he told me.

"Claudia, I know it's only two weeks that we became closer, but you know..." he stops, his words got stuck, he is thinking, but he still on silence, not saying anything, for quite a while, "I like you... like a lot, you really are so kind, so nice and beautiful, I would be so happy if you wanna be my grilfriend?" He asks, I wasn't expecting this, really, because I never really know how date is going, never been into one, since Niall is the only guy that I like and he never asked me for a date, not once. We went out lots of time, but it's never been a date, just friendship.

Now, I'm the one who don't know what to say, Liam is a nice guy, and I don't wanna hurt him, but I don't wanna lie to him as well. Cos lying to someone is somehow hurt more than telling the truth, "Claudia, you don't have to give me answer now... you have time to think and let me know later..." he adds again before I said anything. He knows that I don't have answer and surprise with everything that he just said.

"Hey!! What's up!"

"Hey! You're late! We've been here like an hour... that's a bad habit, you know... always late..." said one of the guy across our table. His voice is so loud, since he's kinda shout at he's friend who just come in. "It wasn't me... It was Niall, he was busy playing games with Harry..."

"Mate, that was you who were starring at yourself in front of the mirror..." it is a familiar voice and familiar name, I am slowly looking to the other table. It's him, it's Niall, with some of his friends that I don't know. Liam is following my eyes, and he looks at Niall and his friend as well.

"Liam, I feel like going home, can we just go home? I feel like I'm tired..." I have to admit it, the only reason I wanna go home is, I don't want Niall to see me with Liam, he will ask me lots of question tonight, interogate me, and soon or later he will ask me to be with Liam. Sometimes, I don't get it why he does that, but I don't want him to think that I like other guys, but him, just him.

Liam agreed to go home, he realized from the look at my eyes, that I'm not comfortable here. "Okay, let's go home let me pay first, just wait here..." Liam walks to pay our date, and no matter what he should walk against the other table, which mean Niall and friends table, "Hey, Liam! What are you doing here? Guys, this is Liam my school mate..." Niall greets Liam, and he also introduce him to his friends. Liam is a bit worry, and he is just trying to be nice. He knows I really don't want Niall to know.

"I'm with a friend, sorry I have to go, guys... it's nice to see you..."Liam smiles at them and he leaves the Niall and the lads. But Niall is smart, he's looking at every tables and try to find out who is with him. I'm screwed. Niall found out. He's looking at me, straight in my eyes. and he's walking toward me. WHY ARE YOU HERE, NIALL? WHY!? AHHH... I can't face him right now.

"WOW..." that's the only thing that Niall said, the only word that come out from his lips. I don't really know what's the mean of his surpriseness, but he didn't say a thing. He is just looking at me with his blue eyes. I know I should have told him about this, but I couldn't tell him, since I just knew that is he wasn't gonna be with me tonight and hang out with his friends.

"Sorry I gotta go... I'll talk to you tomorrow, I'm a bit sick..." Ahh... I did it again, running away from him. I get Liam's hand and pull him, so he walks faster and leave this coffee shop as soon as possible.

We get into the car, and he drives me home. Same as our way from my home to the coffee shop, we don't have anything to say. I need to make everything's clear, between me and Liam, I should not give him a fake hope, he's way too nice for me, "Liam, I'm sorry, I think I can't..." He is still listening to me, "I... I..." ahhh... this is so hard. "I know, I saw it, you like someone else, you like Niall, don't you?" he says, I feel so bad right now. I just break someone's heart. Someone that is really nice and kind.

"I'm sorry..." I know my apologize will never enough, he stops his car in front of my house, yeah, we already here, since it's not far from where I live. "Don't say sorry, I understand... I'm glad you tell me... and I'm also glad that you went for a date with me... Thank you..." he once more open the door for me, then again he smiles, he pull me into his arms, he holds me in his arms, and let me go after a while. God, what have I done, he's like the nicest and the sweetest person ever. How could I hurt him?

"Thank you..." he says before he finally left. And this is the end of the date, the end of the day, and the end of everything. I'm so screwed. I don't know what I'm gonna do next, when I see both Liam and Niall. No, it's just Liam, I'll be fine when I see Niall, he is going to ask me lot of questions, but I still can handle him, and I prefer he interogate me then I have to face Liam that has been hurted by me, the silly stupid girl. huff... I really wanna cry cos I did something horrible to Liam, but it's too late, crying won't fix anything, and heart broken will be heart broken, you can fix it, it's the time that will heal the pain. I just hope Liam will be alright.
