Klaus was standing on the balcony of his family's home where Rebekah was hosting a daytime party for her birthday.. Of course, their entire family is there, along with some of their family friends and their family.. Among these friends is Camille, the Camille whom he loved more than himself and life itself.. The Camille he lived dead without.
He couldn't join the party, his heart and his entire being are exhausted.. More than five years ago, they broke up after an epic love story.. They broke up, and ever since then, he's been living in an endless hell.. A fire consuming his chest without stopping , as he was the sole reason for this break up.. He, and him alone, is the cause of his eternal torment.. He stayed away from her life, as she asked him, for whole five years.
Then he met her by chance with his younger sister, Rebekah.. Rebekah and her friend, Hayley, were busy arranging chance meetings for them.. This meetings have been going on for months, but they didn't yield anything.. Camille was always reserved in his presence and always avoided him.. He couldn't get close to her, and she didn't give him the green light to do.. He had learned from his past mistakes with her.. Weren't his heinous actions the ones that cut her out of his life? But that didn't stop him from absorbing her details whenever they got together.. But he was tired of watching her.. He wanted to get close to her, sit with her, talk to her, and touch her.. He wanted all her attention for himself, just as it had been in their beautiful past.
As had happened in all their previous meetings, his gaze didn't move from her.. He saw no one else between the attendees except her.. She was extremely beautiful as she speaks to his sister, wearing a summer dress suited the party.. The top of the dress was dark turquoise, with broad shoulders, and its skirt was wide and flowery, reaching her heels.

He sighed heavily as he closed his eyes tightly, containing his exhaustion and emotional drain.. He wanted to go down to the party since he hadn't wished his sister yet.. But when he opened his eyes, she had disappeared from his sight.. He searched anxiously for her in all parts of the garden, but she wasn't there.. Had she left without him greeting her!! Oh, the misery of his heart!! He hit the balcony railing in anger as he cursed his bad luck.. Then he quickly turned around when he heard her soft voice asking with concern "Are you okay?"
He whispered eagerly, catching his breath after he thought she'd left "Camille, you didn't leave!"
Her heart filled with warmth as she asked softly "Is that a good thing?"
He replied immediately "Absolutely"
She tilted her head, asking in a softer tone "Why?"
