A month later.
"Have you got everything?" Y/N inquired of Jisoo as she stood outside the oldest member's bedroom. "Yeah," A sniffle followed. "I think so, because it is empty." Y/N took a few steps closer to Jisoo after taking her hands out of her pockets. "Are you alright?" Jisoo turned around and collapsed on her ex-girlfriend, who was waiting for her with open arms. "N-no." She gave the obvious answer. "You do not have to move back in with your parents. You know that, right?" Y/N's voice was gentle. Her fingers gently tapped the crying girl's lower back, providing comfort. "I understand that the younger girls did it, but you do not have to. I could use a friend over here."
"You could use a friend?" Jisoo chuckled, a sound Y/N enjoyed. "Of course." They remained in the hugging stance. Jisoo's head was now concealed in the crook of Y/N's neck. "I need someone to remind me about my surroundings, and not just..." Y/N cut herself off as a harsh knock was heard. "Come in." Jisoo called out. "You two alright in here?" It was Nayeon. "We're okay." Jisoo responded before drawing herself away from Y/N. At least the cousin, not the girlfriend, walked in.
Jennie would have made a scene.
"Your girlfriend is looking for you." Nayeon nudged Y/N. "What does she need now?" Y/N inquired without realizing how irritated she sounded with the other two. Jisoo and Nayeon could only glance at each other. "I don't know," Nayeon said with a frown, since Y/N didn't appear to be in a hurry to get back to Jennie. "She just asked where you were, that's all." Y/N sighed, "I told her I was helping Jisoo in her room." Jisoo prevented Y/N from checking on her things and murmured that she was fine for now. "Jennie needs you. Go." Y/N could only sigh before leaving.
"There you are!" Jennie leaped from the sofa and into Y/N's arms. "You asked for me?" The older person raised an eyebrow and inquired. "Yeah, you were taking your time with Jisoo." Jennie mentioned. Y/N cleared her throat before touching Jennie's arms as a hint to remove them from around her neck. "She needed help with packing." Jennie stiffened with a laugh and used the opportunity to send her signals. "I need your help too. Nayeon is with Jisoo. She can help her right now." The younger girl drew her partner to sit down and pleaded, "I need you right now."
Yeah, I understand." Y/N mumbled. "You always do." Her voice softened at the end. Jennie overheard it but opted to ignore it. "Well, of course." She disregarded it for a few seconds. "You're my girlfriend, and you said you would help." Y/N averted her gaze from the documents Jennie handed her. "I know I help when you need me, but other people—" Y/N's voice became increasingly louder without warning, necessitating the intervention of a third party.
"Dinner?!" It was Yujun.
"What?" Jennie turned to him. Her face showed visible lines as she was frowning. She sat back down before folding her arms. Jennie didn't even realize she had stood up.
"What do you want?!" Y/N turned to him too with an annoyed expression.
"What do you girls want for dinner? I'll order." Yujun knew neither of the women meant their tone at this moment. "Order whatever you want." He passed his phone to Y/N. "I'm not that hungry." Y/N mumbled, shaking her head. "You didn't eat much for lunch, babe." Jennie reminded. Y/N looked at her with a surprised expression. "You noticed? Wow. I thought you were busy."
"Can you eat?" Jennie's hand slipped into Y/N's. "Please."
"You need to eat. I know you did not finish what I bought you for lunch." Kwangjoo stepped in now, and Y/N knew there was no chance of escaping.
Y/N hung her head low, gesturing for Yujun to return his phone to her. "All right, come on." He separated Y/N from her girlfriend. "Get anything you want." He smiled. "I'm sorry." The woman apologized right away. "Why are you apologizing?" He questioned as he retrieved his phone. "I didn't mean to shout at you." She muttered. "You were mad, Y/N. I know you didn't mean it." Yujun gently patted her on the back. "You did nothing wrong." They turned to Jisoo, who had emerged from her bedroom with Nayeon following her, holding her other bags.
