cue time jump hehe

Months later. Late December.

The cafe was alive that night, filled with the noise of clinking mugs and the hissing of the espresso machines. Easy laughter of customers that were gathered into twos and threes.

"I need a new can of whip cream please!" Y/N yelled out as she finished the last can on the drink.

"Coming!" Nayeon answered before diving to the fridge where the last few were for the night.

"Two more Ice Americano!" Kwangjoo yelled out after he was done ringing the orders in. "Good to serve?" Jinho came to serve the other sandwiches that Nayeon was done making who nodded.

You guess it? The cafe idea happened and it has been awesome.

The four of them had gotten good at blending into the rhythm of taking orders, smiling when needed and retreating when they could.

Y/N was the owner and according to the others, she has been the best boss ever.

A woman running a cafe.
A woman who had moved on from what had happened a few months ago.

"Alright, we're closing soon. Hang in there guys." Y/N showered some encouragements. The cafe closed at 10pm and the last orders were at 9:30pm.

"Hi! Excuse me?" A customer approached Y/N. "How can I help you?"

"Can I have another straw? Mine dropped." The woman asked while leaning over the counter with her chest slightly exposed.
"Yeah, sure."

Y/N took her eyes of the woman who seemed disappointed thar Y/N did not sense her flirty actions. She cleared her throat and made sure she had the napkin in her hand as Y/N was coming back to her with a new straw that she actually did not need.

"Here you go." Y/N passed it to her.
"Thanks and here you go." She passed a rolled up napkin to Y/N before walking away.

The owner got confused.

"You're an idiot." Nayeon walked to her.

"There is a trash bin over there. Can't she throw it herself?" Y/N complained, not seeing the eye roll she was receiving from her cousin. "Wait, no!" Kwangjoo did not manage to stop Y/N from dropping the napkin into the trash bin. "What is wrong with all of you?" Y/N laughed. "She wrote her number on the napkin, Y/N." Jinho pretended to sob.

"Did she?" Y/N rose an eyebrow before looking over to the woman who now seemed disappointed after witnessing what Y/N did.

"I would have rejected her anyway. Not my type." Y/N mumbled and went to the kitchen. "She's hot!" Jinho pointed it out. "Well, you can have a try, oppa." Another annoyed expression from Y/N before she actually went to the back.

"Y/N," Came Nayeon who said in a warning tone.

"What?" Y/N asked even though she knew the lecture was coming. "Go on dates, Y/N. You have to move on." The same words were spoken from Nayeon. "I did move on." Y/N told. She grabbed some cups and headed back outside.

"So?" Y/N asked Jinho who seemed grumpy.

"That customer only swung your way." Kwangjoo suppressed his laughter.

"I got over what had happened, alright? I don't need to meet someone or go on dates to actually move on." Y/N told Nayeon.

"And if you do?"
"Then I do."

Right on cue, the door swung open and a group of five women walked in.

"I'll take these last orders, oppa. Can you turn the sign when you come back in?" Y/N asked Kwangjoo who nodded and walked out with trash bags in his hands.
