"Get the fuck inside the house. Now." Pierce stood behind the door, holding it open. I was standing outside of it, refusing to enter.
"I will sleep on the floor."
"Get. The. Fuck. In." His eyes held mine, and I lowered mine to stare at his left hand which was holding the handle with all his strength. Like he wanted to strangle me.
So I pushed further. Now? No point in acting.
I walked closer, the entering of the penthouse "separating" us.
"Oh? Is that so?" I stood one inch away from the doorway.
"Camelli, do not play with my fucking nerves."
I tilted my head right, and he copied the movement. His green eyes seemed dim grey in the darkness that surrounded him. Apparently, holding the door for me was more important then turning on the light.
Or maybe convincing me to get in.
He was still in a suit, his tie undone, his cufflinks not present, his shirt three buttons open. I was not polished enough too. My hair was undone, almost messy. That was the only indicator of how many hours had passed since we were called in our father's presence.
"What would you do?" I let my voice mimic the version of me he knew before the reveal of my true identity. "Nothing." I freed my vocal chords, talking in Clandestine's voice.
"That so?" He responded, his deadly grip on the handle releasing as he slowly strolled towards me, his eyes never leaving mine.
I didn't back down. I held his stare. I was ready for whatever.
Or so I thought.
He stopped in front of me, and lowered his head so his eyes could lock inside mine.
His eyes always were appealing to me. A green deep like the forest covered in snow. Cold, but beneath it, still green. One that turned sometimes even the color of a rainy night filled with clouds when he would get furious .
Almost like right now.
I felt minutes pass having no idea what his next move would be. I was always used to striking first, taking people by surprise.
Seemed like I was in the shoes of my victims today. I felt like a prey. A sheep in wolf's clothing, not the classical fairytale. Nothing between us was. If we could even be called an... "us".
He then lowered his head a bit, kissing my neck, taking me by surprise. My eyes opened a second on impulse, an action I did not expect. I felt his soft lips on my skin, and my mouth opened slightly, so slightly I only took a shaky breath when he sucked. And I realised, he was sucking on the same spot he had left a hickey last time, so raising my hands to push him away turned differently than I expected.
He took my wrists, turned them behind my back, removed his lips from my neck and pushed me inside the house, closed the door and pressed my front against it.
A loud sound, almost like a crash, happened at the sound of my body getting slammed against the door.
I left a groan. Shit, it hurt.
I was on the exact same position I put him in after I realized he held my mafia.
And he realized I was Clandestine.
Seconds after he finally called me by my first name in such a way I still held the sound of it inside my soul, no matter how guarded, and somehow the word melted the ice, entering slowly inside.
