Estelle Adler Camelli.
I was in pain. A grunt left my lips, as if I couldn't even breathe. I tried to stand up from the bed I was in, yet it hurt more.
Fuck. I had years not crying, but now was a pretty damn good time to start.
Pierce grabbed me by my shoulders and laid me back again.
"Don't stand up, it will hurt more."
"Yeah. Realized that." I grunted again as I threw my head back, my teeth clenching.
"Breathe in, breathe out. The doctor told me it helps." He softly suggested, his hand rubbing my arm which was over my stomach.
I breathed in, out. In, out. Every rise of my chest hurt as I tightened my arm around my wound.
"Don't apply pressure on it." I ignored him as I did exactly that. "Estelle, I'm dead serious, don't." He said with a threat in his voice, taking rid of my hand and pinning it beside me.
Back to non-formality now?
"Seriously?" I turned my head to look at him. Mistake.
He was beside me, leaning on his side, watching me. And also keeping my hand pinned to my side.
He looked... tired.
"You look like shit." I said, and a heavy breath left me afterwards. Shit . It hurt to talk.
"Thank you, you too." He said in that emotionless voice of his like always. "And don't talk a lot. Only when you need it. The doctor said it would hurt, since it takes a lot of energy."
"Figured." I muttered, and since it hurt again, now I used my other arm to throw around my stomach.
"For fuck's sake." He let out a frustrated breath as he got on top of me to have access of pinning my other hand. Since pinning my hands to my sides would be uncomfortable for him, not surprisingly now my hands were pinned above my head.
"Do . Not . Apply . Pressure ." He threatened again. A voice that he probably would use with his victims. Only, this one held more anger which I doubt he would ever show.
"Why do you even fucking care-" Yeah, talking was not good. "Fuck." I clenched my teeth and put my head to the side.
With his free hand, I felt Pierce put his thumb below my chin and his second finger above it. He applied just enough pressure to submit to turning my head to face him.
"Yeah. You have to stop talking for a few weeks. But don't worry, I make good company." His eyes held an intensity inside them, and somehow I was very aware of my surroundings. And what was surrounding me.
Pierce's body above mine, his weight, one of his hands pinning both of mine above my head, his other holding my chin in place to face him.
As if seeing my face, a slow, anything but steady breath left him. He closed his eyes for a second, as if gathering himself.
"So, any drugs to make me not feel this?" I said, but it took a little effort.
