CAMERON'S POV

It's been almost a month of Adrianna dating Jack. It's been quite annoying for me seeing her every damn day with him even at my own department. I can't catch a break with this girl. Why does it bothers me so much? I was stupid to even ask myself that. I knew why. I liked her. A lot.

She was the kind of girl i liked. A girl who's a lot like I am, who is like a child trapped inside an adult body, who's always positive and can laugh at anything and gets super excited over nothing. And she must like cuddling a lot (and "marathon" nights), also needs to be smart enough to understand the jokes I tend to make about boring stuff like economy or politics. Looks, to be honest I couldn't care as long as she has a beautiful smile.

She was exactly like that. I knew it since the day we collided in the hallway. But i humiliated her. She hated me, even though she was polite around me, which makes everything harder. I want her. I need her. But she's dating one of my best friends. I can't do that to him.

Don't get me wrong, i love watching her smile. I love watching her pull her hair behind her ear. I love the sound of her laugh. She is the kindest most compassionate person I have ever met in my life.

But there's something i hated. Jack told me she already forgot about the incident in the party... But every time our eyes met, her face changed. She could be happy at one moment but when she looked at me, she becomes sad, insecure, scared... I affect her as much as she affects me. And that gave me hope. Hope that she actually felt something for me.

I needed to make a plan. I needed to prove her how sorry i am and how much i really care about her. I need to show her that i can be what she wants, what she needs.

Yeah.

My birthday was coming. I need to make a huge party. And it may seem like it doesn't have anything to do with Adrianna, but it does.

I knew she was in the kitchen with Jack so i leave my bed and go downstairs. Shirtless. Yes, on purpose.

''Aye Jack!'', i yell from my room.

''In the kitchen'', he answers.

C: ''Hey br-- Oh, hi Adrianna, didn't knew you were here''. Of course i knew. I always know when she's around. But i needed to look indifferent.

A: ''Hey Cam.''

Wait.. She just called me ''Cam''? Only my sister and my mom does that. Weird. But sweet.

C: ''Jack, my birthday's in two days. I'm gonna make a huge party so you now.

J: ''Are you asking my permission or...?''

C: ''Oh dear Jack, you're funny sometimes. I'm letting you know, in case you want to come or just disappear that day.''

J: ''Funny. Need any help bro?''

C: ''Sure, tomorrow morning we'll talk. I'll skip school. Will you?''

J: ''Sure bro, no biggie.''

C: ''Good. Talk to you later. And hey, if Mia comes over, tell her i'm waiting her in my room'', i gave him a wink and i could notice how A. looked disgusted. Yes. It was working.

I go upstairs and when i'm about to go into my room i hear Adrianna saying:

''Are you really gonna skip college to help Cameron make a party?''. She seems pissed.

''Yes, why?'', Jack asks.

''A party is more important than your grades?''

''Look A., my GPA is 4.00, missing one day of class won't mean anything. And he's my friend. In fact, no, he's my brother. Don't make this a big deal.''

Oh shoots. Shots fired.

''Fine'', she says. ''Look, i need to go, we'll catch up later''.

''Really A.? You'll leave for that shit? Well, let me tell you something... Just because we're dating doesn't mean you can tell me what to or not to do. It doesn't work like that. And if you think that's how it works, let's call it even then.''

''Fine. I'm sorry...''

''I don't want to fight with you. I'm sorry baby.''

''It's fine. Anyways, i have to go. Talk to you later?''

''Of course baby.''

''Gimme a kiss. I love you.''

''I love you too A.''

WHAT THE FUCK? They've been dating for almost a month and they already love each other?

That makes things harder. I want her. But i can't do that to my best friend...

''Bro, ''i love you''? What the fuck was that?'', I can't contain myself from laughing, ''but you guys only dated a month or something like that.''

''Yeah, but she never had a boyfriend before. She is getting too attached though''

What... Adrianna never had a boyfriend? How's that so? She's beautiful and smart...

''Well, let's plan this party bro!'', i say.

-TWO DAYS AFTER-

Almost 9pm and my place is full of people. Everyone's greeting me. Hugging me and wishing me a happy birthday and i'm happy though. All these people are here for me. Except for Adrianna. I haven't seen her in two days and i miss her already.

The hours pass quickly and before i can even notice its 5am already. She didn't came. She doesn't care about me as i thought she did. Well, fuck everything. I give up.

The party was a blast. Tons of people drinking, smoking weed, having fun, swimming in the pool, making out with each other. Just like the Project X movie or something like that. Every one kept telling me ''amazing party bro'', ''you need to do parties like this more often bro''. They were right. I used to make parties every weekend until that incident with Roxie 6 months ago. Ugh, i don't want to remember that. My life's been a mess since then.

I start cleaning up. What a mess. Beer cans, rests of cigars... Even condoms? Hahah, wild party. Just like the good ol'times.

''Ohhh''..

What was that? Someone was having sex in my house? For real? You must be kidding me...

I go upstairs and i go into each room. Where the hell that sound comes from?

''Omg..'', i hear again. Jack's room. He wasn't in the party so it must someone else.

I open the door, turn on the light and say ''you guys must go to a mot---''. Holy mother. I can't believe what i'm seeing...
