Beatrix doesn't know the sky people very well and she wasn't raised around other grounders. Beatrix is basically a loner. An outcast. She isn't sure how she supposed to feel about the fact that the people that come from the same place as her are also on earth.

However she does know that she hates being recognized as someone who is dead. Apparently Gwen's very dead mother looks a lot like Beatrix. Well the opposite actually. Beatrix looks like a very young Christine Kane, well Christine when she was known as Brown instead of Kane.

Anytime someone from the sky sees her they say she looks just like her or they gape and whisper to each other. She hates it. She wishes she could go back to when nobody recognized her. It was better that way. Way before the sky people came down.

She used to hate how she had to hide but now it's all she wanted more than anything. People knew now.

Her supposed sister and supposed father were down here and they know who she is. She knows they know. It's honestly too much to handle.

She is no longer comfortable with her identity. She feels like a totally different person. Functioning feels harder to do than before. She feels like she has to be someone else all the time just to fit into their expectations.

Over the last few days Beatrix has come to hear about her family quite a bit. Apparently Marcus was vice chancellor of the ark, his mother was a sweetheart and everyone loved her, Christine was a bad mother and wife but somewhat good person. The Kanes established their name over time and became very well respected.

Gwen's great great great grandfather Harry Kane helped the ark so much and became a legend  and his son Bart Kane carried out his legacy by becoming apart of the council, which passed to his son and so forth. Gwen was right about the whole power and addict thing. Beatrix had come to find out that although the Kanes were powerful and well respected, they had some troubles behind the curtains.

It's widely known that Gwen's mother Christine had a drug problem after her failed pregnancy. However most people are unaware that Gwen's grandmother and great grandmother on her mother's side also had drug addictions. Beatrix knew one thing for certain.

She did NOT want to become like them.

"Hey." Gwen said, snapping Beatrix out of her mind. "What are you doing."

"Realizing I don't want to become our family."

Gwen grimaced as she looked to Beatrix. "Yeah I could've told you that. Actually I'm pretty sure I have told you that have I not?"

Beatrix smiled. "Yeah, you did. What's up?"

Gwen shrugged and gave Beatrix a small smile. "Just wanted to check on you. Seeing if you're okay."

"I mean as fine as I can be. I've never knew of the place I came from and now I'm standing in the middle of it. But I was raised on earth, to be a warrior. And I love Toni. She's my mother."

"I understand all of that. But as I said before I'm your sister and I want to get to know you." Gwen said with a small smile.

Beatrix nodded. "Of course. But I'm still not sure about Marcus. I-i need to time."

Gwen snorted. "I get that too. I haven't really been on good terms with him until recently. But that was mostly my fault." Gwen then squinted her eyes. "Mm well he can be a condescending asshole at times."

Bea laughed. "Understood. I will think about that. In the meantime, what should you be doing right now." She asked with a raised brow.
