"Well, how did you meet mommy?" Kira asked Jennie, her tiny four year old hands holding onto her teddy bear. "Was it the same one as Aunt Lisa and Aunt Chae?"

Jennie giggled. Her eyes looked over Jisoo who was busy typing on her laptop, stressing over the numbers in the sheets that could not match with the original reports she received. "The maths aren't mathing," she continuously mumbled to herself, eyebrows furrowed as she held her messy hair. Jennie smiled a little looking at how Jisoo was stressed but still kept her composure and held her stance a bit, and she thought it was adorable just like the day she met her.

"Okay, I will tell you that, if you promise me that you can brush your teeth now and go to your bed," offered Jennie.

"Really?"

Jennie nodded with excitement. Her warm living room was immediately left by her rushing daughter.

"Chu-ah."

Jisoo returned Jennie's gaze, but with a tint of somber and tiredness. "Yes, honey?"

"Take a rest. You can continue that tomorrow."

Jisoo nodded and closed her laptop, instantly going into Jennie's open arms. "I'm so tired," she said, obviously exhausted with the workload she had to deal with earlier. Her head was lying on Jennie's shoulder, eyes closed trying to find some peace. "Ah, you're... comfy," she stated, while her arms circled on Jennie's waist.

Jennie sniffled. She pulled away a little. "I bet it'll be more comfy if you're actually in bed." She grinned. Her eyes turned into upside down crescent moons, almost completely shut. "Go on change your clothes and get ready to sleep. I'll take care of Kira."

"Thanks, baby," replied Jisoo, stepping upstairs. "But, I'll tuck Kira too after I get unready."

Jennie watched her wife walked away silently, the sound of soft footsteps fading as Jisoo disappeared up the stairs. She let out a small sigh, her heart full. There was something beautiful in these ordinary nights—Jisoo with her tired sighs, Kira with her boundless curiosity, and this quiet, fleeting moment of peace wrapped in soft yellow lamplight.

So, Jennie asked the maids to take care of the living area and left, following Jisoo and Kira. She made her way to Kira's room, where the little girl was already perched on her bed, teddy in hand, eyes wide with anticipation.

"I brushed super fast, Mama!" Kira beamed, hopping a little under the covers. "Now tell me, tell me!" Her eyes glinted under the starry lights of her bedroom, reminding Jennie of how she first fell in love with the same eyes years ago.

Jennie chuckled as she sat beside her, tucking the blanket up to Kira's chin. "Alright, a promise is a promise." She gently swept Kira's bangs from her forehead. "But I'll warn you, it's not like Aunt Lisa's love story, where she fell for Aunt Chae in the middle of a karaoke competition."

Kira nodded.

"But first, go on lie on your bed first," said Jennie. She never recognized herself whenever she put on her mom shoes, but she did anyways. She tucked Kira into her blanket, before sitting by the bed.

"Am I too late for the story time?" Jisoo asked, looking real. Her face was much fresher after washing her face and doing her skincare. She took a seat beside Jennie.

"Nope. You're just in time."

Jisoo smiled from ear to ear. "Well, you go first, Nini."

"Once upon a time, there was a girl who lived in Melbourne, Australia... which is miles away from where we live right now." Jennie started to let herself drown and relive the moments, reminiscing the past.
